How much did you pay that ref? He worked wonders.

Also feel that Bielsa telling us no date for Bamford return and it certainly felt he's been brought back to early.

This.

Marsch seems to be happy to press players into action before they are fully fit. Something Bielsa wouldn't do.

No doubt we'll see Phillips and Cooper back in the medbay before season end.

Irresponsible in the extreme.

...I accept they lost Neves and Jimenez but we still had to come back from 0-2 down away at Molineux which is difficult at the best of times.

This.
Historically, how many times have teams not been able to succeed when facing 10 men? It’s never that easy as they tend to put men behind the ball. So, even though when we expose ourselves to counterattacks by the pressing, it’s the pressing BEFORE the sending off that caused Wolves to panic.. Lots of teams have seen us keep grabbing possession back by our pressing and they don’t like it…yes when they escape it, we’re in trouble, but when they don’t we’re grabbing possession at a time they are not as organised as they normally are.. and I think this worried them

In the cold light of day we have won tonight against a virtual full strength Wolves side who hardly concede and remember were harshly denied themselves earlier in the season from holding Man City when Wolves only had 10 men so we should be very proud of what Leeds managed to do.
Also we did it away from home without half our first team players so that deserves enormous credit and don't forget Newcastle couldnt take advantage last night against Everton's 10 men proving it's not that easy doung what the lads did tonight.
I acknowledge Struiyk and Lorente have been poor but JM will have time now to hopefully have Cooper back and I would imagine pair him with Koch and have KP and Foreshaw in the middle and Raphina back too for Southampton and Watford which I think 2 more wins will see us safe.

1. The tackle on Dallas was a straight red yet didn't get a booking.

2. Jiminez studs up on Koch, only gets a yellow

3. The decisions at ER last season were a joke. Raph got his ankle by 6 studs and Jiminez lashed out at Koch off the ball and got sod all

4. Got what you deserved

Leeds deserved the win. All Wolves had to do was keep them out. Park the bus. Could they tough? Nope.

I was surprised how bad you were to be honest. We were down to ten men but still carving you open and we rarely carve anyone open, even with eleven.

First time in years a referee finally deals to Wolves. Top of the tree for time-wasting, cynical tackling, feigning injury and wind-ups. So, they get a debatable red card. They are still 2-0 up and cruising, but they forgot who they were up against. They can howl all they like but the truth is that the better team, in terms of decency and character, won that game. Aaaaaaawwwwooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Started like the Leicester game creating chances can’t score.
Wolves first real chance…goal!
Fell apart after that, was thinking we need half time…1-0 wouldn’t be too bad…but no!
Red card…what a gift! Never a card.
Then we have to somehow drag ourselves into the game, unbelievable to turn that around against Wolves.
Enjoy the weekend…LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS!

Thing is, even after one man sent off, you don't lose momentum like that.

They can't just point at the ref, and say it wasn't a yellow. No, maybe it wasn't, but being 2-0 up, and cruising, well...
couldn't hang to it, and deservely lost

wolves carving someone open means losing o-3 in a half.

Btw, what a miserable, miserly man Bruno Lage was (is?) in that post-match interview. Sure, he’s hurting but not a single nod to our strength in fighting back for the victory. Classless man.

Also, Jimenez only has himself to blame. Anyone careering in like that, who’s already on a yellow, is asking to be sent off. Correct decision by the ref.

Not sure why Greenwood came on to play RW. Surely Summerville would have been a better option.

Wolves might have had two injury’s, but we literally had half our team injured, all key players out. Don’t give a damn how we play, it’s 3 points you need down there.

Wolves for what they deserved in the end, timewasting in the first half was criminal. Could have had 2 more red cards.

Nothing team, trying to punch above their weight. No chance they get top 6

Your defending was shocking though, a match fit Bamford slots that first half golden chance away, but even though you had 10 men, that was something else second half

I'm not denying we showed character to keep going and get third goal but even when we had one man advantage our players were so frequently out of position and at one point we were just passing to Wolves players, even from a bizarre corner.

It really felt in that first half in particular but also a lot of teh second that we have lost our Bielsa identity already and I'm not sure I see any identification ty yet that we have evolved into except a bit of a shambles.

The number of times the ball just whizzed through a sea of white shirts in our six yard box was incredible and I don't feel this team v Liverpool would fare any differently today than some weeks back.

Having said all this, Marsch's game plan must have been completely disrupted by injuries, clearly some issue with Gelhardt hence playing Greenwood and somehow he's gotten 6 points from 2 matches where at stages that haul seemed impossible.

As someone said earlier, might we just have a lucky manager at least.

It will clearly take time to transition this team but transition them to what exactly?

We have a cheap option of a manager who has been thrust into an almost no win situation, not least from point of view that I feel it's harder for fans to warm to him due to the bond with whom came before, but you can see what this means to the players and that gives me hope where I had none when we were 2-0 down.

Wolves are one of the most cynical teams in the league, lovely to see a cheat like Jimenez get caught out.

Marsch has been incredibly lucky in the last two games, whilst also being incredibly unlucky. I can’t quite get my head round it.

To lose 4 players to injury AND have your star man get covid before the game is ridiculous. Have we had a season with this amount of injuries before? Leeds were the better side prior to the injury to Bamford but then fell apart.

Jury is out on Marsch. This group of players have some character though. Rodrigo showing what he’s made of and Luke Ayling summing the spirit of Birmingham away to drag Leeds to something

posted on 19/3/22

I wasn’t sure about Marsch, but I’m warming to him. You can’t plan for those kind of injury’s. Hopefully next season we can see what he’s really like

It was never a sending off, if that was Salah or Mane doing what Jiminez did, there is zero chance a second yellow card is shown
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So Jiminez goes sprinting forward at full pelt and is beaten to the ball by Meslier who is likewise at full speed, the resultant collision leaves Meslier injured to point where he cannot continue.
You cannot argue that it isn't a yellow card and therefore the sending off was correct.
Compare that challenge with Struijk on Elliot last season. The bench mark isn't Salah or Mane or Kane all of whom have got away with illegal challenges.
One other way to look at it, Jiminez and Meslier make exactly the same movement towards the ball but Jiminez is a fraction of a second faster and Meslier a fraction slower. Jiminez gets to the ball first and is injured. What action does the ref take. Carragher said it would have been a yellow, I disagree, red all day long, prevention of a goal scoring opportunity.
The ref clearly got the decision right.

Not your best post, Jonty.

Epic come back. Heart, passion, belief!

Even at 2-2 we went on to win at the risk of losing to a swift break.

Enjoy it. We all love Bielsa but the new guy certainly has the players playing for him.

That Rodrigo corner, oh my word, forgot about that, just shook my head in disbelief. Thought comic relief had taken over the channel.
Hopefully he will never take another.

Watched the game in a pub and went from being on on the background to everyone glued to the screen.

Thought we were doing ok until Bamford went off and for the second week struggled for a while without him.
Remarkable match, we never give up and an incredible result considering the injuries we picked up.

Love this team, I really do.

With them both being scousers, you would think Carragher would be better able to pronounce Gelhardt's name.
