I dunno...cut out the stupid losses and we could be up there challenging.

I can’t wait for the season to start mate ….

3rd place, knock out stages of champs league and any cup (even just a final) will be a great season for me

Season can’t come quick enough

Right now sinced we have signed Bissouma, I expect us to solidify 4th place at the very least.

I still think we will make a minimum of 4 more transfers. RWB, CB(1 or 2), CAM and a Forward.

If we bring the above in then I expect a title challenge and a cup.

We say “and a cup” every season. But we have a manager that doesn’t seem to do cups - not sure he’s had much success in cups elsewhere - two Super Coppa Italia and 1 FA Cup??

I think solidify our position in the top four and trying to close the gap to the top two is our realistic aims.

Obviously I’d love a cup….. just not sure it’ll happen

No harm in having expectations for one..

I’d say this is the most realistic expectation. You’ve just regained top four, so to make so many signings and then challenge the top two is completely unrealistic imo. If I was a Spurs fan my hope would be simply to solidify a top four spot whilst bedding in the new signings, and then hopefully kick on next season.

Expectations suggest you expect one. I’d see it as a bonus.

Minimum is top4 and a good cup run.

Hopefully top3 and a trophy

If the rumoured signings actually arrive and Conte gets the squad he wants (big if), then I see no reason why we could not battle City for the title. Conte will 100% prioritise the league and we have already proved we can get results against the best team in the league with a depleted squad, so the core spine of a very good team is already there.

Its up to Levy to give Conte the tools to compete for the league title (this is why Conte is here), obviously we won`t be talked up at every given opportunity like Varpool and dragged along by the media and referees, which won`t help, but some favourable cup draws could see us go deep in the cups also.

I`d just love a season where the officials do their jobs 100% properly for once, instead of bottling decisions against their darling clubs, then we will see a true reflection in the league table.

Top 4 and through the CL group stages is my minimum expectation.

Domestic cups are a bit of a lottery. If we draw city away in the third round then we're likely out early, if it's championship teams to the semis then we should get that far at least.

Don, probably not possible to compete with financially doped City, but Spurs should definitely be looking to match Liverpool, who have just lost Mane.

Absolutely essential that Spurs win at least one trophy this coming season though.

Why are Spurs definitely out if they draw City? They beat them home and away last season. They have to go into any match, with a mentality of being able to beat any team home and away this coming season. They should not be fearing any opposition.

Spurs have to change their mentality, of thinking they will get beat by any half decent side they meet. They have Conte as manager now, and the way the season ended, Spurs are definitely showing a great improvement mentality, whoever the opposition.

You’ve made some very good signings with probably more to come but expecting a title challenge is very optimistic imo.

I ain’t expecting anything other than the team taking each and every fixture as it comes. That should be the mentality driven into the squad. We know Conte is a winner. Just hope the players knuckle down and approach each fixture in a way that they apply their best effort. No half measures from anyone and who knows.

I am a bit surprised at the current jubilation amongst Spurs fans.

You haven’t exactly gone big in the market. The kid from Brighton and a very old Perisic is pretty much it atm. Some loose links to Richarlison & Raphina but it looks like they’re holding out for Arsenal or Barca.

If we get Jesus and the Leicester midfielder then we’ve done more in the market.

We’ll see what happens, nothing wrong with high expectations, but it does seem all a bit weird atm.

I don't think any Spurs of sane mind, even think that we are going for the title next.

We have been conditioned to think and expect low, and avoid disappointment.

However, Conte himself is a different thing. He may have a different view, and being a winner and only experienced winning, for example, he hauled back up this Spurs side from the depths of mediciocrity and ripped Arsenal's grasp of CL place, and won it for Spurs at a time most of us wouldn't been expecting CL.

I have a feeling Conte is already putting his plans for higher aims than most of us fan think of.

It may be a 2 year plan, where by he aims for the 2/3rd place at best 2nd at worst 3rd, and then bolsters the side more to go for the ultimate gold.

Arsenal is the gift that keeps on giving.

Spanish clouseau in charge of a side that with 3 games to go and 4 points advantage, bottles the CL!
One of their fan comes on here in no shame to try to banter us.

Diaz matched Mane’s PL goals/assists stats per minutes this season while settling into the team and being rotated due to the heavy fixture load. We’ve added Nunez as well so we’re be fine.

Re Spurs top 4 is a must and a good run in the CL.

Anything extra to that would be a bonus plus you’ll be having quite a few new players to settle in.

If we accept the league won't be won by Spurs I am not sure Conte is the manager to bring you trophies but I can see third happening.

Put it this way. Any player who has the choice between us and you will always choose us. I'm sure you and maybe other clubs were in for Bissouma, but he chose us for CL football.

Sorry to say but you will fighting for scraps with Utd.

At this moment it is but if we sign players who are upgrades on what we have currently then it is possible. Plenty of time in the window and Conte wants the bulk of signing completed before we head off to Korea.

Top 4 minimum.

I think we have a good chance of 3rd as long as we dont get a lot of injuries to key players...

Tbh this could be a weird season what with the break for the world cup.

Some kind of trophy would be so good too.

Probably because Bissouma has been one of the central midfielders in the league the last 2 seasons and we are signing a player that will completely transform our midfield and make us stronger Perisic is another fantastic short term buy that would walk into your team. As for your other point, why would any ambitious player want to hold out for Arsenal You are utterly delusional. If we were both going for Richarlison, there’s only 1 place he’s choosing and that’s certainly not the red half of North London. Face the reality dude. Spurs are going places under Conte. Your feeding off the scraps and buying Portuguese unknowns for 30 mil.
