Blackpolespur, yeh well peed off re the bet. They should have just voided it as soon as the team news was announced, but they did not. Everything is weighted in their favour.
Typically the break has come at the wrong time for Spurs. The Arsenal game may go ahead yet, but I think with the strikes, and it being high profile, I reckon they may call it off. Personally I would soon as just get it out of the way.
Leicester are truly terrible but straight away I looked the look of us at 3-5-2 again.

I want to see the team that finished that game start one
With Perisic left and Royal right side
Royal gets unfairly bashed in my opinion and I know I’m in the minority but I like him
Just means Kulu and Richarlson in the bench but what a strong bench we have
Agreed.
Seems strange to criticise Spurs after scoring 6, but it was another disjointed performance where we were dominated for large parts of the game against the bottom team.
This has been a trend throughout the season and yet we are joint top. The fixture list has been kind, not Arsenal kind, but kind nonetheless. However, if we continue to play like this in our next tranche of games, results will start to match our performances. The likes of Arsenal, United and City will punish us.
It's so clear to everyone who watches Spurs that we need an extra body in midfield. We looked so much more cohesive when Bissouma came on. Granted, Leicester had to change their gameplan when we took the lead, bringing on two strikers and leaving gaps in behind. But something needs to change.
Hopefully Conte takes note of having that extra body in midfield. He needs to at least give that formation a go more often so it can at least be weapon in our tactical options since he loves 5 2 3 so much. And rarely deviates from it.
I think 3 in the midfield will remain a back-up option for Conte.
He doesn't think we can play it yet, even though we did well yesterday - but that was against a bottom side.
Against the best sides, he will revert to type imo.
Ok, please can those supporters constantly asking for Sanchez now stop this. He is a liability and it took only all of 30 seconds to for him to panic and concede a pen with a stupid lunge in the box.
Love the way Sonny quietened section of fas who started to doubt him. Sooshing them at the end of his second world class goal.
Spurs fans are fickle AF.
Yesterday again, we have show character and desire, destroying even more this under belly softness that we were associated with and some of our fans still think we have.
Wake up. This isn't Nuno Spurs. Soosh!
I agree this break coming up is at te wrong time for us and the right time for Arsenal. The way the season is shaping up, we may be able to push up into 3rd place!
(Of course we are in 2nd, but I mean come end of May!)

Think there’s only one supporter calling for Sanchez to play…
Needs changing:
1. We have to stop with this only two in midfield. Game after game we just get over run by the opposition. Yes possession does not win games, but it does improve momentum and confidence, both of which Leicester desperately need, and those atributes DO win games.
Yes Son made a huge difference, but the game actually changed in our favour when Conte brought on Bissouma and played three in MF.
2. Retaining possession. My god, we are awful at that. We simply cannot seem to make more than couple of passes without giving it away.
3. Constantly playing it across the back 4/5. Again, that does not win games.
It just allows the opposition to regroup and maintain their shape.

I think you find all of this has had us winning games
The problem with 352 is that it takes an attacker out. Kane Son with Richy and Deki on the bench. We would still struggle to create as Bisouma is not that creative. Where it works better is where we have superb attacking wing backs and we don't, 352 demands more wingers than defenders, with pace. Ours lack pace or any sort of strikers instinct.
Anyone who believes 352 cures our problems is wrong imo. It just creates another issue.
For me, teams have had a bloody good look at how we play and set up to stop it. The issue I have is that as we sit so deep in numbers when defending the ball out is limited and easily stopped. You can see us trying to entice teams in but often we lack the quick ball playing to play our way out and break the press, or lack someone beating a man and breaking lines in the CM. I am also not seeing enough of the CBs stepping forward in to CM, with our without the ball.
Personally I dodnt think teams dominate us because we have a 2 man midfiled because when set defensively Son and Richy/deki drop in. We get dominated because we are happy to do so. May be not to the extent of yesterday, we need to play out and use it better, but just that we are happy to defend.
Having said all that, unbeaten, 2nd in the league on GD, it's a system that is working despite not hitting great form. We can be pleased with how the results are going. Our last defeat was 16 April and if you think back to that awful loss at Burnley (27 Feb) since that low point we have P21 W15 D4 L2 49 pts (2.3 per game). That's form that pushes towards 90 pts over a season.
Small tweaks and a bit better quality on the ball in the current system is what's needed If we had a Maddison or Zanioli then a 352 would be a more workable option

Sorry Sandy never going to agree with you in Sanchez
He isn’t rubbish but he isn’t good enough for what we want to achieve either (squad option I’m happy with)
Lenglet was our best defender and he got involved going forward too with some neat passing through the lines
Sanchez never does this, doesn’t break forward down the right channel as he just doesn’t have it in his game , which is what Romero offers
To me Conte hasn't found a way to get this team to click yet. Our wins seem to be won on the strength of subs or half time team talks because there are rarely any good 1st half performances and we are always suffering patches of games where we get bullied by the opposition and second to every ball.
Biggest plus aside from the win is Son looking like his old self again. I'm expecting a run of good form from him now.

The times he scored / nearly scored were corners I thought , could be wrong though
I dread the thought of us going away to the Degenerates and playing with 2 midfielders, I can see us getting pumped by the Woolwich unless we get more control of the midfield. It`s up to Conte to set us up to get a result.
Meanwhile, the rapist continues to turn out for Woolwich.

(Of course we are in 2nd, but I mean come end of May!)
COYS

You said Spurs fans are fickle. Then you are bashing Sanchez, who could easily have had two goals yesterday.

Think the shushing was at the media mate not the fans
Don’t think son would do anything like that ….the fans were right to have him dropped , as proven !
Sanchez needs permanently dropping now ….wasn’t just the pen which he was never going to get to the ball but he gave the ball away just before that
He has zero composure ….would be great in a team that’s near the bottom
Feel sorry for him but he just isn’t that good

I thought the early mistake fir the penalty aside, he was Spurs best defender, and could easily have scored two goals at the other end.
He acquitted himself admirably after the early error. Fair play to him.

What!! Sanchez got forward a lot, and could have had two goals. He was very unlucky. The goal he scored should have stood, and he had a great effort tipped onto the bar. He was very proactive going forward.

Must have missed those occasions
The times he scored / nearly scored were corners I thought , could be wrong though

I dread the thought of us going away to the Degenerates and playing with 2 midfielders, I can see us getting pumped by the Woolwich unless we get more control of the midfield. It`s up to Conte to set us up to get a result.
Meanwhile, the rapist continues to turn out for Woolwich.
