Result on paper is ok given Villa have only lost once at home all season but we should have scored 4/5 there
Villa unbeaten at home. Anyone who thinks that’s a bad result for us are clueless. They had plenty of good chances too, so a pretty good point overall.

Well that’s nonsense, Arsenal won there for a start off the top of my head.
We missed some sitters today and honestly no idea how Grav played another 90. He was a passenger and barely won any duels.
Elliott won us the game against Brentford but has been ignored since.

They could have too though.
City are looking awful against Madrid, it’s a good time to play them, hopefully the scale of the match gives us a bit of energy that we’re needing atm

I’m glad to see us create so much, big improvement on Wolves and bodes well for City as they’ll not be miles apart in set up defensively

Ah sorry, that was second game of the season. Only loss in the league though, so still a good point.
Was a better performance for sure, but still poor defensively.
The defence is looking more shaky because Grav and Szob are struggling to track runners imo. It’s becoming pretty easy to isolate our back four. A simple overlap then becomes an overload.
You can want all the play on the half turn you want, this is the Prem, and sometimes you just need legs.
Hoping we don’t play PSG in the last 16. They’re looking on form.

Doesn't help that Slot only trusts 4 midfielders

The only place he can rotate is AM though and Szob is the only one with legs. If we had someone like that at 6, then I reckon we’d see more of Elliot at 8.
I’ve just seen, I mean Grav and AMA are struggling to track
Can Endo, Jones, Elliott not rotate with Grav, Mac and Szobo?

Endo, Jones and Elliot are all slow. It’s why Szob is so important to the system in both transitions. He’s the only one that can physically do it.
Grav and AMA, also slow by Prem standards.
Dom can do a job for 70-75 mins but even he gets tired and productivity reduces. Last 10 was crying out Elliott.

So why didn’t we buy anyone? And only try for Zubimendi?
Slot clearly has no interest in Elliot. Such a shame.
You don't need to score 2 or three goals every facking time to win the game. Arsenal scored once and won the game here.
My problem with this team has always been the lack of ball winners throughout the team. VVD, Konate, Szoboslai and sometimes Mac are the only ones who can do that. The others are just ball watching.
Anyone that isn’t fed up to the back teeth of Nunez now?
Has to go in the summer.
