Rangers out of contracts

Mcgregor will be away , apparantly we already have our next GK agreed with.
Helander - made of glass , no way we can keep him
Sands - Not value for money
Jack - mroe than good enough to be with us, body cant hack it anymore however
Arfield - again useful for coming off the bench at best, great to have around the training ground however and on this basis if he is on buttons Id keep him around.
Kent - would love to keep him but looks like he has already agreed a deal elswhere
Tillman - keep - no brainer for me see if we can haggle the deal ? but in his debut pro season he has already been the difference between us dropping in at least 4 games, has popped up with big moments. For a player this early in his development he is exactly the type of player we should be looking at.
Morelos - unless he can show he is back to the levels he once was , we should let him go cos he will want to be one of the highest earners you would think. A fit amd motivated Morelos is the best striker in the country for me.

The Tillman one is the most difficult imo, we would have to loan Lowry next season if we take up the option.

Which might actually be a good idea, he needs regular minutes. There would surely be few takers in the SPFL. I'd like to see that happen once Hagi returns which should be soon.

Lowry has had a big step back with his injury. He was also bloody rotten in his last game there for the youths.

He needs a loan deal to a prem team up here.

No idea, just been told that he is by all accounts very highly rated and he will defo be our no1.

Kent and Morelos you’d obv give new deals to keep if you could. Would cost too much to replace, even if Morelos has been out of form.

Tilman looks like a yes to me so far. He has a lot of talent, and put in a shift last night till he was blowing out his erse, did look like he gave up at that point. But if he can improve there then he looks a top talent. Lowry was apparently pash for b team against Hamilton, so no surprise he’s been left out.

Sands is a no at that price, 2m I’d have said would’ve been a fair price for a young solid versatile player. But even then, would see if we can get better value. So likely a no.

Agree with others that Arfield is only one I’d consider a new deal for, purely as a reserve.

Most of them can go. I'd keep Kent but he'll probably move on. I'd keep Morelos if he could get things together but he might move too. Sands is decent but not worth £5m or whatever it is. Tillman is a skilful player but £5m or whatever looks a bit steep for us.

You would want kent , Morelos and Tillman

Not sure tillman has shown he's a £5m player right enough
Needs more energy in his game

Helander would depend on injury situation but he's a good player

I think it's time rangers moved on from Arfield and the likes
Brand new mid built around Lawrence

He was spectacularly bad to be fair.

Missed a pen, gave away a pen and sold a couple of goals by telegraphing the same turn in the middle of the park with a man up his erchie.

Jack needs to play 50% of the games this season before the club will even speak to him about a new deal.

Arfield looks like should probably go, in my view. His touch was poor last night (not for the first time recently), though he ran about a bit.

he is the type of guy you want on the training ground however, all teams should have 1 or two like him kicking around. Id have him around for another year, wouldnt want to see him playing too often mind you

I’d keep him around for that reason too. Largely because of the number of changes in squad we’re likely to have.

Still likes of Barisic, Kamara and Roofe who could go too. Doubt we’d get anyone taking Roofe off us though with his wages. Matondo looks a waste and I’d take offers sooner rather than later, McLaughlin likely leaves and you’d hope McCrorie gets number 2.

I'm not keen on paying players who basically don't play. We've got enough of those at the moment!

he can fill in when needed in multiple positions and is great for morale on the training ground and a great voice around the place. Guys like him are worth far more off the pitch than on it IMO.

I think Arfield has done a great job for us since being here ?

Say it again im glad he stayed cos he was one of the main reasons behind us winning the scottish cup and league. If we had got rid of him when he started doing that celebration there is a good chance we wouldnt have won both

Worth also thinking the wages you’d need to be paying to keep Morelos, Tillman or Kent. Can’t imagine any of them settling for small change, particularly when they’ll have the dangling carrot of sign-on fees to go elsewhere.

He’s 34 now, would be wild to offer him a new contract unless you go down the pay to play route.

i dont think you won the league because of scott arfield.

i also believe that you could get a better player than him and possibly won more.

2 out of 12 is it?

huge success.

Silly point really. Whoever we replace them with will need wages, and a transfer fee or sign on fee. If we’re in the free transfer market to replace Kent you’re looking at an older player or a gamble.

Morelos might be worth replacing with a gamble given how out of sorts he is.

Tilman is only 20, far more talented than our own youngsters and already been a difference maker in a good number of games. Any money invested there you’d think you could get back.

Think a bit more than £10k and he’d recognise his age profile and would think he could get better elsewhere. We shall see.

Don’t think clubs would’ve been happy spending some of the figures many fans on here were talking about for Kent or Morelos, but a £1m signing bonus? No problem.

Kent and Morelos can reasonably argue though they were part of getting rangers to a Europa league final. Could reasonably command a higher wage than whoever replaces them. And the whole player trading model doesn’t work if you don’t actually trade.
