There can only be one winner. When one club has 25 £70million players its usually them.

Not too bothered either way. All Spurs has proved to the world is Serial winners need the best squads. There's no magic about Jose or Conte. If anything Jaunde Ramos did the most magic by winning Carling cup with that basic team against Chelsea who were favourites.

The only silverware were we have been top 3 favourites to win in decades was rhe conference cup and we managed to get ourselves kicked out

All the Conte Out folks always go back to loser Poch and give upteen excuses for him as to why he failed. Excuse after excuse. They always forget about the money he wasted when he finally was backed. Unreal.

Whilst there is an obligation, Porro is also a loan.

The project under Conte is going well so far but this summer the defence must be addressed if we are to progress.

Yeah and the clauses of the deal change if we don’t get CL football this season apparently. Also noticed Pep bigging up his abilities. A City bid wouldn’t surprise me come May!

Not arguing, just interested - what makes you say it's going well? CL last year is of course a massive success. But to me it feels like this year we have regressed, and neither the football or the results are very good.

Admitedly he has a poor defence, so I get that it isn't the squad he'd have chosen. But does he do projects? Or just short term?

Yeah apparently we lose the obligation without CL qualification. Which will mean with any deal the ball will be in Kulusevski’s court.

I don’t rate Conte and don’t want Poch.

I don’t rate Conte without decent players and let’s face it, he’s not getting what he needs so the grim football is pointless
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So who do you want? We’re kinds of running out of top level managers….

Club is a mess. Conte was a terrible fit for manager. Despite his endless comments & don't believe he's committed or has any interest in being at Spurs & I'm sure he'll leave this summer.

Don't think we'll make top 4 or win a trophy and there will be a massive rebuild AGAIN this summer. I expect Conte, Paratici and Kane to leave with Levy applying the handcuffs to whichever poor sod takes the job.

Future looks rosy

NotSoMagicJuande, excellent article, pretty much agree with a lot of it. Although not sure Conte is leaving. Also to bring back Pochettino would be a massive backward step in my opinion.

Other than that though a well thought out article.

Whilst Conte has been successful no matter where he has been. It always ends up stale - Conte becomes bewildered - Bari, Atlanta, Juve, Italy, Inter, Chelsea and soon to be Spurs. He has only stayed a third year at Juve, a club which is close to his heart.

I’m 99% sure he is off. Just my opinion and wouldn’t mind at all to be wrong.

So is it pointless we are continuing with Conte in charge and should we just cut our losses now. I can't see us getting top 4 in all honesty not with the shat we still have in defense.

If by some miricale we do (and I do hope we do) I'll gladly eat my hat/words....

I think Conte's heart is not in it any more in recent games he has lost his fizz on the toucline and his body language is all wrong. He's also started mentioning the loss of close friends recently which has affected him and made him re-evaluate life and football. I think he maybe already potentially knew he had a gallbladder issue around this time and knew he would be off recovering.

Dunno a odd situtation to be in really. But I also agree hes was a bad fit for us from the off and was never going to get the kind of backing he needed.

Either way COYS COYS COYS.

Only an idiot would say the club is in a mess, when they are 5th in the Prem, 5th round of the FA Cup, last 16 of the CL.

FFS not sure what so called supporters expect. Yes the football is not always pretty, but there is more than one way to play a game of football. It don`t have to all be tippy tappy go nowhere stuff.

If we don't qualify we still have an option to buy Kulu. We are only obligated if we qualify for CL. He signed a 3 and half year contract so everything is in our favour.

If Conte leaves we might as well go for Glasner or Gallardo. Glasner plays the same system as Conte so no need for recruitment overhaul
