Good luck to Spurs today.
Keep the score down to 5 and it will be a good result
This is why we need to take the handbrake off and go for 3 points. Try and score early instead of the catenaccio tactics we have deployed all season.
After today Spurs will have played
Arsenal home and away
Man City home and away
Man United away
Brighton away
Brentford away
Fulham away
Chelsea away
West Ham away
Crystal Palace away

That's good, no more long-distance travel to remote parts of London or London Beach.
The second half of the season looks infinitely easier for us, I’ve no idea how the computer system managed to produce such a lop sided season for us.
After today, from the 16 remaining, I would be disappointed with a draw in 13 of the 16 games.
Newcastles lack of an elite striker will be what does for them, they will keep getting frustrating draws and we will eventually catch them in the last couple of games I reckon.
Don’t fancy us today, we’ve played City 4 times at our new stadium and beaten them every single time without conceding -!it’s an insane record that I can’t see us maintaining

We beat them handily at the Emptyhad last season, Kane masterclass, had a goal ruled out for offside, they got a lucky penalty to get them back in it only for Kane to kill them again at the end. No luck or jammyness in that result and, a lot of their poor results against us have been down to Pep repeating the same tactics that get found out when you have clinical counter attackers like Kane and Son. Son has absolutely schooled them for a few years now, they must hate him.
However, our back line is now as weak as it’s ever been during that time, the errors and lack of quality was massively exposed in the second half against them the other week, and wouldn’t be surprised if the same happens today. Worst case scenario is a result for City is bad for Arsenal and after today we move onto a run of fixtures where we could and should be putting some form together.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
deffo our defense which leaked something like 20 goals in half of the games, is like a sieve! City will find gaps and score.

The CL games were as lucky as it gets, we were battered - especially at home but Winks turned into Patrick Vieira for the night, and Ederson turned into that West Ham keeper who used to dive out of the way of shots on target.
We have had luck in a lot of those league games aswell, not last season away match granted. I agree that Peps refusal to alter tactics against us has cost his side in those games as well - how many times is he going to let us sit back and then hit him on the counter with Son?

I think we get beat to day and still catch Newcastle - yes it will be 4 points and they have a game in hand, but with 16 to go and them struggling to break sides down I still think we will catch them as long as Kane stays fit

My order of preference would be:
Spurs win
City win
Draw
Draw helps no one. If we win today then we will be ahead of Newcastle by the start of march, they have some shocking fixtures coming up. Otherwise I don’t we will catch them until early May
No chance of a win today, we’ve not competed against anyone of the top clubs this season. Arsenal, United, Newcastle, City and even Liverpool and Chelsea have all outclassed us.
Conte needs to mix it up and play three in midfield to get a hold of the game, but we all know how he’ll set up. And deep down, we all know what the result will be.

I don't want us to lose, that's the inner me - but I am not having my head in the sand and think we are so good now that we cannot lose. Specially to the undoubtedly the best team in the land.
If we do lose, then it makes the Woolwich lot quiet and may even see them nose dive for the rest of the seasn - all the more better for us.
I agree with Strike. Newcastle are the ones we could get close to in reality.
However, a good meltdown from the Woolwich like the one they had last year, could see them join us and Newcastle for the 4th place. All the better for us.
That's my point.

Yeah exactly, just avoid the draw today.
Our season starts next week, our run in is the kindest on paper for any of the sides chasing top 4, looking at those around us I think we only need to secure 65 points for 4th, that’s 9 wins and 2 draws from 17 - or 1.7 points per match, the same as we have averaged so far.
We’ve got CL and FA cup to look forward to as well - it’s not as bad as it seems

Just chill out, and let us help City win today.
Would love to see Farteta in a meltdown

Morespurs who gives a flying feck about Woolwich. What they do or don't do I really don't care. WTF would you want City to win today?

"Obviously Spurs weakness is still at CB and in goal,"
He then goes on to predict a clean sheet against City 🤣🤣🤣

So, both can be true?
We have had ridiculous luck against City for half a decade now and grubbed out jammy results and clean sheets, we can do it again - doesn’t mean our defence is any good
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We beat them handily at the Emptyhad last season, Kane masterclass, had a goal ruled out for offside, they got a lucky penalty to get them back in it only for Kane to kill them again at the end. No luck or jammyness in that result and, a lot of their poor results against us have been down to Pep repeating the same tactics that get found out when you have clinical counter attackers like Kane and Son. Son has absolutely schooled them for a few years now, they must hate him.

Logic says this, but Spurs are weirdly good against City
