LOL United recently failed to beat Leeds at home, City just drew with Forest, and Arsenal have just lost to Everton. Top three are OK, but not outstanding. Cheksea are total rubbish despite spending more than £600 million.

I am not basing my opinion on results, we all know weird results happen in all leagues. I am basing this on how Spurs are playing which is very very poor in general.

We can’t defend to save our lives yet we have had 4 clean sheets in 2023.

Yesterday West Ham managed to let our Right back (whom admittedly is our second best player at the moment) score after being set up by our Left back and Son score despite him being in the worst run of form in his life.

Just wrong. Whilst in the recent past (90s) other leagues were stronger. 6 of the last 10 CL finalists have been from England.

OP as you said the fact we have Harry - soon to be all time PL scorer - coupled with a few other top talents has meant we have trundled along amassing points, whilst not particularly playing at our scintillating best.

Overall, the league is weak tbh

Liverpool didn't even look that good beating a 10 man Newcastle

Surely that only shows the depth of quality on the whole is getting better… anyone can lose to anyone on any given day. Showing more competitiveness, not less!

Surely the measure of how good a league is is how well all teams of that league are performing in Europe?

I said the same last week when Liverpool managed to just about beat Everton at home for the 17th time out of 20 - but apparently that one result (despite losing 3-0 at Wolves the week earlier) meant you had turned a corner
