There’s definitely a good player in there.
His movement is as good as any striker in the league, he’s quick, powerful, tenacious and he doesn’t let his head drop.
If he sorts out his finishing he will score a lot of goals.

He’s got a way to go before he’s regarded as better than Lukaku was, but I think he will turn out to be pretty good.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not counting goals he's already better than lukaku.

I don’t know where to start with that comment.
Opposition fans putting the spoonz label on him has been the main point of people jumping on the boy.
Every Liverpool fan is more than happy with him, whilst knowing that he is raw and that once he settles down he'll prove to be a very good player for us.
I'm sure the same will come true about Gakpo.
He looks clumsy to me but I have been wrong before!

He is and never was a bad player?
Scored many goals for Benfica last season and did well in the champions league.
He’s 23, new team, new country, doesn’t speak English. People just think players have to hit the ground instantly for some reason.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does Luis Díaz speak English? I honestly don't get how relevant the English speaking aspect is especially in attack. I could give a quarter in Defence or for a goal keeper but an attacker !!!!!!
He is hit and miss. He will mess up the easiest things but then do something totally out the blue.
I am still not convinced of him as an out and out striker but as a wide forward I think there is something there.
Funnily enough, that was the position he played for benefica against Liverpool and he ran us ragged

do you think goals are the only way to rate strikers.
nunez has a better first touch than lukaku, better eye for a pass, faster and his eye for goal will improve.
probably out score most forwards in the league when he settles a bit more next year. cant bash him with the price tag like some do because he cost the same.
ignorant reason for bashing a player anyway.

Ye most Liverpool fans knew this already. He's strong, absolutely rapid, good in the air, has a good first touch, can pick out a pass and has a good work rate. I get why some laugh at his misses but he's been working on scraps mostly and coming into a struggling side is never easy.
Statistically before their moves I read he had a better clear chance conversion rate than haaland so be interesting to see what happens once he builds confidence as finishing was actually a major strength of his pre the move.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good first touch, really!!!
He definitely looks like he could end up a top drawer ten Prem goals a season striker.

Yeah I agree. I think his first touch is not great. Gakpo on other hand looks like a real technical player.

Even his goal on saturday, he miscontrolled the ball.
Gakpo is 100% a technical clever thinking sort of forward who plays well in tight spaces. Sadly don't think he is a Klopp player.

Not sure he has something about him very similar to Bobby but without the pressing attributes. If he can work om that it could work out.
He was very good at benfica… he’ll likely come good with the scousers, sadly
Got feeling this kid going to be awesome next season when he’s settled with his new scouse accent 👍
Go Ed Darwin
His finishing needs a lot of work but there’s a real player the, I’ve never doubted that.
Hopefully comes on leaps and bounds in his second season. We’ve seen it with others in the past.
His issue with finishing is that he isn't calm when the opportunity comes. He needs to relax and put it where he wants. He's been snatching at shots. This will come.
Toor, I'm getting pop ups too. Will turn ads off tomorrow and email ad company.

Maybe he should give Son, kulu and Richarlison some lessons then but I don't Levy would cough up 😂
I think he might produce Salah numbers eventually but might not be as polished as Firmino, Mane or Salah or even Diaz tbh
He has got a unbalanced amount of grief but with that price tag and playing for an elite club (and us not doing well) he will do. Look how much grief Sancho got compared to Antony fir example.
Where as players like Richarlison and Isak can fly under the radar a bit because no-one really cares.
