Miller and Carter is highly rated by those "in the know".

Allow an extra £50 if you’re going to use Uber.

The Blues Kitchen is pretty awesome if you like good food and music (we usually go on the soul nights).

You'll be quite near the Night and Day café. Not sure if there's anything going on that night there. Used to go in Albert's Schloss quite a bit pre-pandemic and they had live music. I was in O'Shea's recently and they had a decent covers act on. And there's always Satan's Hollow!

Matth might be on at Satans Hollow if you’re lucky

Fierce bar in the northern quarter is pretty cool too, if you like rock music. Great ales!

Went to one of those in Brixton, may well eat there.

Albert Schloss is good, been there before in Birmingham.

Pho Cue is a delightful place to eat... you'll almost certainly have the queue, but it turns over tables quickly.

Mojo on Bridge Street tends to have an indie vibe. If it's too busy (it often is), go to Crazy Pedro's instead

I’d probably stick to deansgate and northerly quarter tbh, Ubers are rarely more than a tenner.

"Where did you eat?"
"Pho Cue, mate."
"Christ, I was only asking."

Just off Deansgate. You've got all the Spinningfields bars and restaurants nearby. Even the King's Arms in Salford is only about 10-15 minutes' walk from there. Decent beers in there.

Does that mean they don't let you linger or that they just clean the tables quickly. Love to savor my cafe.

There's a decent restaurant, quite new, called Rellim and Retrac or something like that.

Probably the opposite of the Miller and Carter that someone recommended if you're not a fan of that.

Miller & Carter is okay, prefer Fazenda but I prefer not to go to big chains when away, unless it's something new.

Rellim and Retrac - can't find this?

They don't rush you... it's just quick to bring food etc.

But it's better than the average no thrills place in terms of nicer inside.

I thought it was and had to Google it.

Probably pronounced "kway" though? I wouldn't know.
