Yeah apparently. Should've been suspended before the season started
Asterisk written all over this season
Arsenal should have suspended him while the investigation took place.
Too late now and they will be working on some plan to give themselves cover.
We didn't know the severity of it, Thomas ensured us they were bogus claims etc.
Should have and should definitely now suspend him until the case is closed.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't text conversations leaked months ago with one of the women, but technicalities meant they couldn't be used as evidence?
Even so, morally Arsenal would be aware of this and could have acted as the case has been ongoing?
Have Arsenal came out in anyway over this season and acknowledged any of this or have they just tried to sweep it under the rug?
genuinely dont know sorry

If so that shocking, and tbh I expected more from Arteta and the club.

just had a quick google and Arsenal did address it and made a statement on it.
Not much more they can do, or the player tbf.
three arrests, two were dropped fairly quickly and the other one he still hasnt been charged for.
far too early to saying action should be taken against him, no charges raised so that tells me they are either bogus or lack of evidence to proceed.
as things stand its nothing more than an accusation. and on that basis should not be suspended
The difference with Greenwood is purely the existence of the audio in that case, which is damning and no doubt something sponsors didnt want to be associated with.
Had it not been for that I reckon he'd have been playing for us the past year much like Partey has for Arsenal. Which is how it should be in fairness, you can't start suspending players for every accusation.

I'm not sure about using them as evidence, but the texts that were leaked didn't look good but also weren't really evidence of anything given the way they were cherry picked from the conversation.
Then there's no information from the other allegation and this third one is only being made public now, so I'm not sure if we would have opened ourselves up to any legal trouble if we'd suspended him too rashly?
I really hope he's innocent cos I wouldn't wish that on any woman, but it'll also reflect so badly on the club, as well as Arteta and his non-negotiables if they knew there was actually something to this and they covered it up.
The texts were heavily edited to make the conversation look worse. An unedited version was put on social media, which while not exactly gentlemanly was far less damning than the edited version.

Definitely echo the last paragraph. Though if that's true then the people making the allegations should be held accountable if he's found innocent. More likely it seems that it'll be a case that can't be fully solved one way or the other.
atleast city had the class to ban mendy
Banning an innocent man is class? Mendy has lost his career over the lies of women scorned, now you want it to happen to someone else?
I don’t like to comment on something that we have no privy off, however, I am sick and tired of the woke society we live in that condemns innocent people because they want to believe a woman’s allegations.
We have recently witnessed what this woman Emma Blunden, 21, who told police she had been raped in a Newbury hostel in 2008 and claimed she was attacked by three men. Two f the men almost committed suicide and one of them was jailed because of the alleged rape. I hope the legislators can bring up a Bill supporting innocent people’s bames from being published in the Media.
Are we just ignoring the allegations because of a title charge?

Aren't these just allegations? He's not guilty of anything.
Imagine we did suspend him at the start of the season and the charges get dropped. We would have lost one of the best DM in the league for probably a season.
The evidence against the City player was way worse and he's been found not guilty on almost all charges with a few left. (Last time I read) His career basically over as a top class player.
