Have a feeling we will see a let down game again and a flat performance. Hopefully not.

That's the spirit Cinci. Let's keep the positive momentum from 2 straight wins going.
Fingers crossed they can put in the same performance as last week.
1-1.
Proper meltdown on Molmix over whether Neves returns. I would be amazed if he doesn't come straight back in.
Why is a legitimate discussion on a positive selection problem being considered a meltdown?

Think wolves pretty well safe anyway, another 2 or 3 points and you will be.
Was hoping that your team already safe so may not be at best,we have to win to have any chance of staying up after an appalling season.
Great memories of Bull and Walsh , they certainly gave or asked no quarter.
Have always liked Wolves lots good memories, just hope you are not at best on Sat and we both stay in prem where we should be,
Echo that Thorney, remember some great games against Wolves including O'Neill's first win for us at Molineux.
We should be well up for this and after Smith overseeing our first game against Man City and another week's training, we should see a different team and approach on Sat.
I'd go three at the back - Cags, Souttar and Faes, drop Ndidi for Mendy and have two up front - Vardy and Ian, and really go at them from the start.
One up front does not work and we desperately need results now, so we've got to try and win games instead of stop trying to lose them.
Get a win on Sat and I'd be confident of a win at Leeds the following match. This could really kick start our season...
Much as I'd like to see an unchanged side, Neves will probably be back and so I'm going for a 0-0 result.
yeah it will be interesting to see what happens this weekend. I also suspect Neves will come back in. If we lay an egg the fall out could be fun.

You sound like me before last weeks game.
Loosely connected to Leicester, how many times does Maguire have to fook up before people wake up and realise he's shat
I expect Neves to return, but IMO they should not bring him straight back in. Start with the same as last week and use him as necessary.
I'm with you there Boston, I just don't think anyone deserves to be dropped.
It doesn’t send the right message, as you say no one deserves to be dropped.

Does Neves deserve to be dropped? That is effectively what we would be doing.
It doesn't send out the right message to your combative defensive midfielder, entrusted with winning the ball back and breaking up play, if you don't bring him back in when he reaches the limit of yellow cards imho.
Let's see what Loppy decides. At the moment, I am in a group of one on here.
Big call to leave out our club captain and best player though.
Does Neves deserve his place back? We were on a run of 5 points in 7 games before his absence, in a period where we had played 3 of our relegation rivals and lost to two of them.
We have won two in a row without him. He should have to earn his place back by performing when he gets his chance. If he sulks about it (I don't think he will as he has given no indication he is anything other than professional), then that indicates his time at the club is up if we want to keep progressing the squad and making it competitive for places.

Yes. Prior to the bad run, he was very much a part of the team that got back to back victories against Liverpool and Southampton.

So we should ignore the bad run because of two previous victories?

All the other players were part of that bad run? Are you saying the poor run was down to Neves alone?
We have changed a few things tactically in the last couple of games imho, as Loppy realised a few draws wasn't going to get us to safety.
One of those tactical changes was Neves not playing though.
That coincided with the midfield playing higher, being less predictable with passing and higher energy. We can't talk about tactical changes being an impact on recent results, without acknowledging that the midfield was a big part of that tactical change.
I've no problem with Neves coming back in. But if he does and we revert back to a midfielder sitting between the centre backs, playing sideways passes and slowing the tempo; then it will be clear that his omission will have been the biggest tactical change in our recent success.
He needs to play like Gomes and Lemina have in recent games. He can do it, but if he doesn't or hasn't shown he will in training, then he should be on the bench this week.
Sorry WO, Looks like you’re outnumbered.
We will see what happens, I suspect that you will be right but we will see if that choice is detrimental.
