Very poor move for Knight, especially if it's at the behest of the Ireland gaffer?

Elaborate bud??
Ah sorry, got ya.
I meant the Irish manager 👌
It was said that the Knight and Wilson deals were financially separate transactions though there may have been an unofficial part-exchange.
For me, Robinson showed promise in the way that Thonpson showed promise, i.e MIGHT develop into a first team player rather than appeared destined for higher things. I would say that both were less exciting prospects than Bird, Knight and Sibley at similar stages. Those three have developed differently and Knight has so far surpassed the other two. I think Ang favoured Knight of the three. I thought Sibley might end up higher but I am a poor judge of these things. How players develop depnds on many things other than natural ability. Some players over-achieve. I find it astonsishing that Darren Moore carved out a career when he couldn't kick a ball straight to save his life, but fair play to him for maximising his potential. Others criminally waste their innate talent such as Ravel Morrison who should have played much higher.
But I don't see Thompson or Robinson being midfield mainstays this season, maybe decent back-ups.Both are substantially inferior to Knight at present who as said has suffered rthrough changes of position, but I would also say that he has not quite done as well as we might have hoped. At times he can look like a headless chicken chasing around, and his end product has been fairly poor. I think he will benefit from a bit of discipline in his game and more of a focus on getting on the scoresheet. He doesn't yet sniff out goals as well as Craig Bryson used to do. But he has done extremely well for us overall in very difficult circumstances and I'm sure we all wish him very well.
Well said Vidal
Yes, he has been a favourite of mine since the youth cup game at Carrow Rd, in 2018 (remember, when he snubbed me in the tunnel).
To say he covered every blade of grass that night does him a dis-service, he did it twice.
His energy and effort has always amazed me and he never let his head drop when asked to play in different positions. He always remained grounded and totally modest and he did his utmost to the cause through very difficult times and for every manager that played him.
Good luck lad, always a Ram. Youll look crap in red
Well if you are right about Robinson, Vidal, and if Thommo makes no real progress then we certainly need another midfielder, preferably of the Van der Laan/ Eustace type, someone who can bully and dictate.
There was one game (last season?) in which Thommo was outstanding. I wish I could remember which one, maybe a Cup game? But I agree that it's probably too much to expect him or Robinson to fill that spot.
This will be Tommo's 4th season since he made his first team debut, so he probably needs to make his mark early in this one.
DR is still 18, so has time to develop, but he has more of a physical stature and certainly has a bit of an edge to him. He could be like another Bielik, hopefully without the injuries.
Well that would be fantastic!
This Kane Wilson looks pretty good on the ball.

Certainly got the pace! Let's see how he manages life in L1. I saw some footage last night and he does come across as more of a tricky winger. Could become a fan favourite.
Anyone know what his defending qualities are like?
The Rams Trust have outlined plans for a Supporters Board to sit alongside the Supporters Charter Group. Commendable stuff. 🐏
Knightzy leaves with my best wishes and thanks for everything. I am surprised he hung around as long as he did and kudos for that. Brizzle seems an odd destination but you can only go where you are wanted (like Will).
As much as I would be happy if he’d stayed, I did feel there was a little something missing with the end product. But he was often played out of position for the greater good and he just got on with it, producing some fine performances along the way. But it opens a door for someone else now.
I am perplexed at some comments on other sites questioning his loyalty for leaving now. Absolutely bizarre.
I've completely stopped commenting on majority of other sites ( cue someone to say 'when will you stop on here'??? ) as there's some incredibly impatient and idiotic followers. Questioning JK's loyalty case in point.
Football fans, eh ?
Good job there's nobody like that on here, Desi
Exactly Ang, it's good to be in the company of fellow 'football managers' ( aka Subbuteo, Kick Off, Sensible Soccer, Championship Manager etc ...)
Duane Holmes joins PNE. Had he not behaved disappointingly prior to his departure I really wouldn't have minded him at this level. I liked his application in his first season with us.
From a quick scan of the article it appears the charges relate to breaches of rules surrounding ownership of shares in the club. I sincerely hope Derby don’t try to muddy the waters after what we’ve been through.
Looks like we still need a striker. What was the point in going to Spain and playing in a heat wave? That won't acclimatise us for any conditions we are likely to encounter at the start of the season.

Again difficult to draw conclusions from that game but I thought Rooney, Bardell and Thommo looked good. A good work-out. If you can play in those conditions after a strenuous set of training sessions then you will be physically set up to play in any conditions.
