Of course it is reflected with Ange. Ange won the treble there. Facts. Imagine if he didn't and we still hired him?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I obviously mean that I hope he doesn't go on to look out of his depth in the PL. He could still be a world class manager for all we know and do an exceptional job at Spurs, or he could simply have been propped up at a good team in a shiiitty league, kind of like De Boer I guess.

Re: Sancho, this is the first I've heard us linked to him but based on his Dortmund exploits, I still think there is a good player in there, it's just a big risk as you don't know if he's gone the same way as Dele.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Need to be buying players on the up rather than hoping to revive careers.

Need to try to get back to the strategy under Jol. Get players young and offer them the chance to develop. Sell them to the bigger clubs until we get back to being established.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think we should automatically rule out any players that might look like they're on the slide. If Ange actually wanted him then I would go along with it and he could be the man to get more out of him. But yes, as it stands right now it's a bit of a risk for someone we'd have to pay a lot of money for on big wages.

Done the wrong thing by coming to prem league, huge reputation, couldn't live up to it, Bellingham hopefully has avoided this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not necessarily the wrong thing. I don't know what he trains like or what his mentality/approach is like outside of football (presumably this must be at play for him to start looking so poor) but it was a move that could easily have furthered his career. It still might.

I do worry that we don’t have a DOF yet. Means Levy is in charge of transfers presumably.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is really my point

It feels like Levy has just regained total control, after Paratici left, and has now doubled up on his control.

This guy Ange has no chance with this setup if true.

I wouldn't give him even till Bomber's night tbh

Fans cannot see that we are worse off now, specially after that rant from Levy at the fans club. He totally laid the blame at everybody else's doorstep than blamed managers poor tactics for all the transfer failings?

I think we should look out for early signs of any change otherwise this is the same old debacles but disguised under yet another "we must regain our DNA" bollix

I don't want to say in a few months told you so

Surprisingly he's actually a Football Manager player himself, so 'one-of-us' according to an older interview with him.

No wonder he did somewhat of a journey man save in Japan/Scotland and get them punching above their weight either in results or playstyle.

I do wonder if that means he will offload Kane for money to create budget for wonderkids or reign his 'instincts' in at a bigger club.
Guardiola was a big CM/FM allnighter player too and he's still doing his crazy in-game fantasy formations IRL winning trebles here and there

He`s not even started his job yet, I would wager he will toe the Levy line when he gets going though, Levy will have been pist off when Conte called him and ENIC out, he will want another lapdog this time.

Sorry, but this is a totally pointless post. Ange does not start until July 1st and is currently on holiday.
Scott Munn (who has worked with Ange before) is now in charge of all football operations & his appointment is expected to distance Levy from football operations on a day to day basis.

I’ve not been impressed by Ange at all because he doesn’t start till next month

I hear Ange has been begging Levy for Maguire & Saanchi for the last 4 months. Thinks they are fundamental to challenging for the league next season. Absolutely awful manager, doesn’t know what he’s doing, get rid already

Just reading that Ange reacted with anger the fact that we could be losing Maddison to the barcoders. This is what I talking about to all those saying it's too early. It is never too early. The market is open.
We should be doing everything to get Maddison, but the club officials are very much lackadaisical, and letting barcoders take a good march on this.
I am reading that Ange has now demanding more urgency in the pursuit of Maddison.
This is what I am want to see. Not that slackness.

Go and get the players we need. Transfer window is open, so show some urgency in getting talks started. Show interest.

Why would Maddison choose Spurs over Champions League Newcastle?

The only reason would be London. His partner is american so she might want to move south as well.

If he basing his decision on football, it would be Newcastle all day.

I don't understand, are you saying Ange should be judged on if we get Maddison, even though he apparently really wants him and it looks like we might not get him? 😕

This could just be a case of Newcastle looking a lot more appealing to Maddison right now and that's where he'd rather go. Can't blame him really. But if this is yet another example of a player we could have signed but were let down by bad negotiating from Levy then fack me?! I think it's going to end in a similar fashion to Conte.

This doesn’t make sense.

You’re saying that Ange is angry that the club aren’t pursuing Maddison (I’m not sure how you could possibly know that but ok). So according to you, Ange is showing urgency but the others aren’t.

So which is it that you’re not impressed with, Ange or the board?

Sorry but this article is a total mess….
