'Played well ...at some stage' is so very subjective but as you ask - Patterson, Edouard, Frimpong, McGeady - lots more debatably but it is a rabbit hole to go down. No reason for players in Scotland not to be valued at these levels when plenty others are going for much less and making an impact like McGinn, Gilmour, Hickey, Ferguson, Robertson...ffs even McKenna is valued at 8 figures!

Frimpong is about the only one that bucks the trend, but he still had 9 appearances in the Europa League by the time he was 20

No reason for players in Scotland not to be valued at these levels when plenty others are going for much less and making an impact like McGinn, Gilmour, Hickey, Ferguson, Robertson...ffs even McKenna is valued at 8 figures!

McGeady - Numerous Champions League appearances, had score in the competition too, and was an established Ireland international
Patterson - hadn't only played for Rangers in Europe, but had scored in the latter stages, also had Scotland caps and a goal for his country at the age of 20
Frimpong is about the only one that bucks the trend, but he still had 9 appearances in the Europa League by the time he was 20
