I said Ideallt get into Cl finish 3rd and join the europa.

He thinks its best to get eliminated in the final qualifying round and go into the europa group stages this year

‘My ideal scenario would be winning the first tie, then losing in playoff to drop into the EL. Get a 5m parachute payment plus means we can build some coefficient hopefully. If there is a club World Cup and that’s what counts would be huge for us.

And Thursday night is just better for getting on the beers and making a day of it or a weekend of it if a trip.

Didn’t mention winning every game, said getting through group. Not a wild assumption based on last few years

I’m still amazed that apparently Rangers get tv money over and above the total money from Uefa. As if BT go round each team every year and give us money. And all that merch we’re selling to our new worldwide fan base from getting to CL groups. Absolutely amazing.

I kept saying it was schite and I’d literally quoted Stewart Robertson saying that before you’ve now googled. The fee was roughly 17.5m last year before tickets. The prize money in the CL is way higher. But clearly need to get points on board for that to come into play…

The fee for EL groups if we get to CL playoff is 7m, there’s a 5m parachute payment. Our coefficient would now get us a 2m + share. Tv/market share depends how many clubs from Scotland are in. Likely 2m at least assuming Aberdeen don’t qualify. Then it’s almost 200k a point. So get 10 points and you’re talking 13m vs 19m or so losing every CL game. So not that different right now.

Saying 19m this year in CL as we’d get more of the coefficient split as it’s over 10 years.
