You couldn’t be more mistaken 99. Tielemans was always one of my favourite players and would always be first name on my team sheet. His vision was always first rate, but unfortunately his form dropped off during his last 12 months with us. Class is permanent and he had that in spades.

You probably wish you hadn’t started this one warwick 😉 I did see the match. How on earth was that second Newcastle goal awarded with 3 men looking offside? 🤷 Perhaps I’ve got it wrong even having played it back a dozen times.

It did look a bit sus though!

Tilelemans is done at this level and that isn’t me being bitter, he can’t run. Should’ve gone to a slower league.

Pleased for Barnes, a True Professional and a player I’ll continue to keep an eye out for.

Maddison with an assist and a booking for gobbing off the the ref , now his team Are losing 😂

Not sure he’s done at PL level - he was one of our top performers for 2 seasons in the PL, scored some outstanding goals and set many goals up. He’s already proven himself at this level and just because he became completely disillusioned at this utter clown show of a club - it doesn’t mean he isn’t good enough for the PL.

He’s been disinterested for some time unfortunately and has been surrounded by some utter dross. I’m not saying he’s a top 4 player - he isn’t. But some Leicester fans (and one in particular) are almost deranged when giving their opinion on him

True Blue is a WUM. He’s not interested in an objective debate, the best thing everyone can do - as with any child - is to ignore him.

I’ll clarify that - anyone behaving like a child: Don’t ignore your kids - no matter how tempting

I didn’t see the game but by all accounts it sounds like Tielemans looked very poor and leggy. Many comments are that his legs have gone and he’s done, but I suspect he was just shown up tactically by Newcastle.

Tielemans is good when he’s on the ball and can get his head up. Newcastle are super quick in the press and won’t have given Villa any time.

This was why Tielemans was never a top class player for me. When the going got tough he disappears and boy was that apparent in our relegation run in.

In his prime for us he was a rolls Royce of a midfielder and a delight to watch. However, the way he ended his spell with us and his performances over the last season are unforgivable to me. He sullied his reputation.

Will be interesting to see if he can up his performances when Villa out in a better showing.

Although I'm on here quite a bit reading, I rarely post any more, but this woke me up OWF! Yes, what a player.

£25 wasn't nothing, especially back then, but less than a quarter of the fee paid for Dennis Law, so not a bad deal.

I always rather liked Tilly, so a shame to see him resembling a snail with lumbago. Barnes and Maddison seem to have fitted in straight away.
