Why would I not support the owners of our club when they have significantly improved the position the the club was left in by the previous owners in every aspect?

You're comparing a period in 2001 to 2023? Football has completely changed, Sandy. Sure, they did well in the first 10 years but growth has a ceiling if you're running it entirely like a business. The problem with Levy is that he does just that. If you're working in the city in finance, your business will grow according to how cohesive your model is. There is no injection of funds to prop up failing parts. You grow by generating funds. That's it. You can't apply the same logic to running a football club because the truly ambitious owners put their own funds in to fast-track success. It's a gamble, but more and more are doing it. This is where Levy comes unstuck. Levy is like a cyclist refusing to dope. He might not like it, but that's the sport and until he gets on board he's not going to come close to winning a single race. Not a chance.

Fridge, of course I do. Why wouldn`t you support your owners, providing they are not laundering money through it or taking advantage of the financial rules, then I am fine with ENIC.

Football as we know it will be finished within a decade anyway, so why worry who is in charge?

Yes Sandy, Simon B & Bryan Strong.

Oh wait, that’s the same person.

I can't take anything he says seriously. He comes on here as Simon B, writes a comment, logs out, logs in with a new email and username and then echoes the same sentiment as Sandy. Seriously, I have no idea what the point is. It's laughable.

Fridge, you are not seriously saying that Spurs are competing on the same level as Brighton and Brentford, just because they both had one half decent season. I suspect Brentford will be Championship again within four or five seasons, probably Brighton as well. Just like Leicester they will have a season or two in the sunshine, but they won`t sustain it. Brighton are already flogging off the family silver. Brentford have sold their goalie, and I expect their best goalscorer also to be gone shortly.

Spurs are a countrymile in front of both of those clubs, despite one poor season.

I wonder what Levy thinks knowing his only supporter is an angry maniac with a split personality. It might shock him into spending some money.

Why ask Kane? He doesn`t play for Spurs anymore. He stayed 10 years anyway under ENIC, so reckon he was just fine with them. Don`t believe everything you read or hear about our club.

Spurs will not compete for the big trophies long term under Enic/levy in my opinion.

They portray them as a big club (they are) but operate like a bargain basement club

Of the current top 6 (I hate that term) imo they are most likely to be the ones to drop out and be replaced by Newcastle

I like the manager and his style of play and will enjoy watching when the can but with those owners he’s operating with one hand tied behind his back

I wouldnt say i support them.

But everything they have done for the club culminated in the new stadium which also followed some good years. We are financially in a much better position and a review of our pre and post New Stadium transfer/wage spending will demonstrate that.

Since sacking Poch though, they have made a succession of bad choices. Nuno was the only rank awful choice, he was always going to be a disaster. Jose & Conte were poor decisions in the end but both managers also failed to deliver, especially Conte and you just have to look at Bissouma to see that while Conte may have been the wrong type of manager for us, he certainly made a mess of things as well.

These poor decisions & poor managing have seen us decline, which has ultimately costs is Kane. That said, people need to reflect that when we ended 4th last year and things looked rosy, Kane didnt want to sign a new deal then so may be he was always leaving unless we suddenly turned into title winners.

New era has begun. A well selected manager who fits our club better than the last lot (good decision!) Some decent signings made (good decisions) and we expect a few more with players going out.

It is now a period of growth & development and we are well placed to do this with the Kane money. If we shift some of the unwanted and get decent players in and give Ange the foundations to build (that was our youngest team in 3.5 years vs Brentford BTW) then whats the need for change?

I have seen plenty of the Sugar Daddy dreamers, lauding what Chelsea have done, so desperate is their desire, but actually nearly all clubs are run as normal businesses, making ends meet, spending what they earn, not making massive financial gambles like CFC. I dont see Spurs as any different or our owners acting wildly different from most. Yes there are elements of Levy's style which are utterly infuriating but it isnt incompetent, if anything it is too far the other way, too safe, too considered, too tightly negotiated.

IMO fans need to get on behind the club. This new era needs support, not toxicity and actually if we do the in and out deals needed this summer then the club have actually delivered pretty well, and we can focus on stuff on the pitch, rather than always looking for negativity off it.

They dont have my full support. I am not an ENIC supporter, Im a Spurs supporter. This is, for even the most patient, their last chance and so far i dont think its been too bad and we are all excited about the coming season with good reason.

Oh because Spurs don`t spend a billion like Chelsea, they are acting as a bargain basement club. What a load of tosh.

They spend enough, just not what the financially doped clubs spend. Nothing wrong with that.

Football is all but finished anyway. Its as uncompetitive as it as ever been in my lifetime. Even when clubs like Liverpool in the 1970s and Man United in the the 1990s were winning multiple titles, the other domestic trophies were up for grabs. Not anymore.

Every club in the Prem has had appointments and sackings in the last decade. How many managers have financially doped Chelsea had?

Spurs are no different. Managers and players come and go in the modern era like confetti, and it will only get worse.
