LOL I have forgotten more about Spurs than you have hot dinners.

Amusing how posting an opinion can be called a WUM.

Posting based on what is the current trend of opinion and then going against it without any real reason, just being difficult and that my friend, is trolling

I’ll be walking past where the Levy out boys protest on Tottenham High Road tomorrow and let you know how many are there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

About a dozen. Most sensible supporters will be getting a few pints down themselves.

Only nerds like Fridge would be in a protest that nobody gives a feck about.

Enic have:

Upped ticket prices by 20 percent in the middle of a cost of living crisis, needlessly, without any justification, just because they can

Tried to take the club to Stratford for money

Tried to end competitive football with the esl for money

Tried to furlough staff during covid for money

Sold our greatest player in the premier league era for money

Hired criminals

Made season tickets the highest prices in the world

Won one trophy in 23 years

There a bunch of property merchants that have exploited the clubs name and fanbase making themselves millions in the process

They don’t care about winning stuff, it’s not their ambition. They are not football people and they truly couldn’t give a monkeys about loyal spurs fans

You are a mug if you think otherwise.

100% no.

ENIC are only interested in Spurs to use us as a vehicle for their profitability. Over 20 years of ownership and they have shown very limited ambition in delivering a successful football club; selling our best players, failing repeatedly to capitalise on positions of strength, selling managers short and letting the fans down. In recent years we’ve had furloughing of staff, the ESL fiasco, failing to make a signing for 18 months for the best manager we’ve had in the PL era, sacking a trophy winning coach 6 days before a final to white wash the ESL fiasco. Between Ange and Nuno we have gone over 5 months in the last 2 years without a head coach at all. Appointing a crook as DoF with no due diligence, Joe Lewis himself being arrested on fraud charges damaging the reputation of the club, and putting ticket prices up 20% while selling our best ever player on the opening day of the season. The current concessions scandal at the club is a disgrace, long term loyal fans being treated like crap to herd more tourists into the ground. The fact ENIC are a faceless corporation that have no communication or relationship with the fans. Nobody ever knows what’s going on at the club, what the strategy is etc. Just an annual token letter from ‘Daniel COYS’.

They haven’t been there 2 minutes. They’ve been there 2 decades and have FAILED to turn us into anything resembling a vaguely successful or ambitious football club. The only thing we have any kudos for is our stadium, that is how ENIC measure their success - why? Because it’s a money maker. They have succeeded in turning THFC into one element of a broader sports and entertainment corporation operating out of ENIC Stadium. NFL, boxing, concerts, football, we have it all! But the onus isn’t on the football club. Despite being owned by a guy worth £5am they quibble over a few million for a PL proven goalkeeper and give their new manager a cheap alternative, but as soon as the NFL pitch needs upgrading or the golf course hotel needs renovating, they can’t find money quick enough. Joe Lewis is a disgraceful proxy owner, a vile parasite who never attends games and who has never put not a penny of his own money into the club (only outdone by the Glaziers by virtue of their debt). Yet they charge our fans among the highest ticket prices in Europe.

They have used us as a vehicle to increase their wealth as an organisation - our PL status, supplemented by stadium revenue, and their Spurs related portfolio of property investment.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like they are war mongers or human rights abusers like some owners, we can’t throw that at them, but any supporters of ENIC must accept that we will never, ever, be a successful football club under their ownership. That has never, and will never happen, because of their business model. For me, I want them out immediately for this reason and be use they do not give a toss about true Spurs fans. As long as ENIC Stadium is packed with tourists every week tapping their credit cards away, they are happy. Champagne prices for a lemonade football club.

Profitability before fans. Profitability before ambition. Always.

ENIC Out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So are you now calling nearly 50,000 season ticket holders tourist fans. Stop insulting our supporters. Honestly I give up with some supporters. Get yourself down to WHL sometime, yes like all clubs, there will be tourists, but there are some very long standing supporters like myself that still attend in massive numbers.

Do you actually attend WHL, or are you one of those that just comes on football forums, gives their view, but never goes near a football stadium.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your obsession with the match-going fans echoes the fossil-like opinions you have. Football is global now. Diamond watching from the States has as much of a right to an opinion on all things Spurs as you do, however you always seem to throw shade on anyone that chooses not to attend for various reasons. That speaks of a complete and utter lack of understanding of how the game has changed and why your opinions on all things Spurs come across so out-dated. Only in this thread you defended them by saying that we were worse in 2001 before they took over, like that's a credible defence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Diamond is entitled to an opinion, as am I. And if course he doesn't have to attend to watch Spurs.

But he stated that WHL is filled up with tourists, which it clearly is not. And HTF would he know anyway if he does nattend?

You neither. I think you said you don't go either. But you both have plenty to say on those that actually do attend WHL.

Football hasn't changed fella. Even 60 years ago I knew plenty that gobbed of about football when they had never set foot in a ground in their life.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Uhhhh? I’ve never said that. I do go to some games. I don’t live far away but equally I’m not gonna get a season ticket because I don’t want my life to be defined by football. Nothing wrong with that. In fact I think it’s healthy.

I'm all for mimicking the models from Brighton and Brentford. Our recruitment has sucked for a long while so anything to help improve that (for both players and managers). Valuations are all so subjective anyway and Brighton are showing you don't have to pay over the odds to get really good players, just as we have shown in recent years you don't need to spend cheap to end up with duds.

The one thing we don't want to be copying from Brighton is the constant losing of our better players because it ultimately won't get them anywhere in the long run, just like it didn't with Southampton back when they were the envy of clubs' eyes for how many talented players they were bringing through. Something we may be able to avoid due to the profile of our club and its wealth, but the best players aren't going to want to continue to stay while we fail to win things. Not that we don't know this already. This is where Baldy and Co. have to push the boat out that bit more to be able to get that bit of extra quality that the likes of Brighton and Brentford wouldn't be able to get.

Sandy. I went to the UCL final. An awesome experience, ultimately a disappointing result and performance but my memory of that weekend, partying in Madrid, the atmosphere, the excitement and anticipation, the sheer thrill of the occasion, will never leave me. Saw us win our last cup, lose our last 3 finals , 2 of the last 3 semis lost.

Some on here put nothing into the club and do not go to games and while that doesn't mean they cannot have an opinion or a voice, not all have the actual experiences, the memories of being atvthese occassions that underpin their support. It's an entirely different experience, gives a different context and bigger picture to those who just watch these events from their arm chairs shouting at the screen.

I'm a fairly patient laid back guy so that reflects in the way I reflect on our leadership BUT at the same time I have these actual real experiences and memories for which I am grateful and for me are what football is about. It why people watch their local club or play the game on a Sunday morning, because they love it.

Absolutely spot on. People who support Enic would be better off watching the stock market at 3pm on a Saturday than the football

Real football fans know what’s going on at spurs and will always oppose it

I’ll be taking my son to my local league two side because levy has priced me out of taking him to spurs. My boy would have been fourth generation spurs.

Yep. There are posters on this board that are happy to let that happen too. That mock those of us that are protesting against it. Absolutely shameful.

Without protest spurs would be bottom of a European super league right now, playing home games in Stratford

Yes Don, but at least we have the location factor as well. I mean it's not just the winning factor, because Liverpool have won a lot more than Chelsea in recent years. Being in London must count for a bit. Shows how much our owners have let us down to achieve success when they've had this advantage all this time.
