Everyone knows Mount is average at best, why we signed him I have no idea

Lots of people said he'd struggle if he was deployed in Eriksens role. It's not his game at all.

I'd drop Antony and play him in a front 3 like Chelsea used to do. He was always getting goals and assists when he did that for them.

Go buy a top CM. We badly need one.

I wish he'd vanish back to Dutch football.

At least Mount has had a few good seasons in the PL, albeit for Chelsea.

Antony is just rotten. Up there with Maguire and Sancho now.

All the Chelsea fans on this forum said he did his best work for them as part of a front 3.

Mount is shiiiiit as well.

Mount's best moment of the game yesterday actually came when he twisted his FB inside and put a nice ball into the box from the right hand side.

He's an excellent striker of the ball, so his crossing ability could be a handy option from the right, especially when Hoijlund is in the team as his movement in the box looks really good. It seems that Mount's best Chelsea form often came from the sides rather than through the middle, too.

It would certainly make a hell of a lot more sense to move MM to the right rather than Bruno.

With all of that said, I Mount looked decent in the first 20-30 minutes of the game and our pressing looked better at times, but that may have also been partly or even mostly due to Spurs finding their feet. But there were at least some hints as to what the two high pressing 8's are there for. But I still didn't really like it all that much and still think we could have found a more suitable player than Mount for that position.

He got voted Chelsea player of the year twice in 3 seasons so there's got to be something there.

Antony isn't even PL standard. Wouldn't even get in Brentford or Palaces team.

Doesn’t mean anything to me. They are both terrible footballers.

Antony for 90m quid. Someone should get sacked for this deal. We can’t keep going around saying we have no money when we sanction this sort of nonsense. A farcical deal.

You've no idea how much it infuriates me to see people suggesting a player we signed to play in midfield should maybe play wide.
