I too hope we don't sell any of our players boston, but Fosun are an investment company after all. We now appear to be ok with regard to FFP rules, so time will tell if they want us to become a top club or not, which I hope they do.

Their investment will be in tatters if we get relegated, still possible if we sell all our best players.
Add Cunha to that list.

I actually think the only hope we ever have of trying to bridge any gap to the likes of Villa and Newcastle and maybe Brighton and West Ham is by selling youngsters high to generate good funds. Brighton are doing similar and it is working right now.

I said, we "appear" to be ok with FFP rules. If we're not, then how can we spend any money this month?

Now you say, we "should" be ok. make up your mind DJ.

Don't think the decision sits with any of us on here wolfie, until the facts are revealed we're all speculating.

Under the new rules all PL clubs had to submit their accounts by December 31st and any profit and sustainability breaches will be notified on Monday. So whatever we do in this window has no bearing on 2023 PSR. Due to the rolling the year thing though we still have to be careful with 2024 PSR hence the notes of caution from Hobbs last week. Presumably we did enough in the summer sales bring us back in line for 23.

The maximum losses allowable over three years are £105m (90m of which has to be underwritten by the owners). Because Forest were in the EFL for one of those years, where allowable losses are lower, they're in danger of a breach.

Say what you like about PSR, FFP, sport washing etc the Saudi funded Geordies and the UAE funded Cityzens have served up a cracking game tonight

Only one point above we.

I think it’s important to note regarding our ffp, better described as finance and sustainability rules, that the sale of Neves to the Saudis was a blessing financially. It was that which put us within the limits for the accounts up to last summer. It’s those accounts that matter when it comes to any further punishments to be handed out this season. If any more clubs are to be punished this season, the announcement will be made on Jan 15 ie Monday.

What puts us straight going forward is that the sale of Nunes was too late to go into the above accounts. So that’s what will help us going forward.

I see steady Eddie is whining about not being able to spend any money and half his team is injured.
Welcome to the real world Eddie.
My worry is he setting up a Neves loan ?

After his overhead kick goal last week, Chiquinho scored again for Familicao this weekend and was voted man of the match. Maybe starting to fulfil his potential

Wolves return from Abu Dhabi today to get ready for the FA Cup tie on Tuesday. 28 degrees in Abu Dhabi today. Forecast -1 in Wolverhampton tonight

Found this:-

Fears of falling foul of PSR saw 17 players, including Raul Jimenez, Ruben Neves and Matheus Nunes, depart Wolverhampton Wanderers over the summer for a combined £140million. Wolves are confident that mass exodus will mean they avoid any Premier League charge.

we won't be charged with anything, lets just chill.

Wolves women beat Reading 2-1 away this afternoon in the women's FA Cup, great result, would be good to get a super league side in the next round at home

Was looking at attendances in the Women’s Super League today. The majority have average crowds of between 3,000 and 7,000. Man Utd get about 14,000. But the two clubs that caught my eye are Bristol City who get the third highest crowds at nearly 9,000. And Arsenal who are by far the biggest supported team with an average of over 32,000

The replay is on 16th Jan, Ivan Toney’s ban ends on the 17th. Shame. Brentford will also be without Wissa and Onyeka who are at afcon. Rico Henry is out injured as is Mbuemo, Ajer and Hickey. Ben Mee is suspended.

For Wolves, Joao Gomes misses the third of his 3 game suspension. Ait Nouri and Traore are at afcon and Hwang at the Asia Cup. There are evidently injury doubts about Dawson, Hugo Bueno and Bentley

It's the first game of Gomes' suspension isn't it?

Chem Campbell has returned to Wolves after his loan at Charlton. He made 11 starts and 3 sub appearances and scored twice. Guess he’ll get another loan for the rest of the season

It is the first of Gomes’ games suspended, my mistake. Still stories Spurs will make a sizeable bid for him this month. Be mad to sell him me thinks, his value will surely increase considerably over the next few years

posted on 15/1/24

I think you were factually RAA there DJ, he will serve the first third of his three game suspension.

Spurs want to buy Gomes for peanuts.
Some of these teams make me laugh, tell them to take a running jump.
As DJ says, he will be worth 80 mill in a year or two.

I can understand players like Jota and Nunes wanting to go to Pool and City, but Spurs? FFS, mid table fluffer club with the most deluded fans in the country

Young Justin Hubner (20) started for Indonesia, who are 1-2 down at the moment.

1-3 now and Hwang wasn't in the S. Korean squad that won 3-1 in their group match, due to his injury.
