Rotherham were unlucky not to beat us at their place and their low block frustrated us for long periods of the game. We lost our shape and ran out of ideas. As much as we love our players and what Farke has brought to our club, we are incredibly wasteful in front of goal. We have to work much harder than anyone else to score goals and win games. This is why, I think, Farke is damping down on our optimism at the moment, because we do not have the efficiency of the other top clubs and sooner or later, we will get caught out. I would love to believe we will win easily and get the chance to rest players and give more time on the pitch to Gelhardt and Joseph, but I am seeing a physical, low scoring game, reminding us that every game has to be won. Rotherham will be up for this and if we are not switched on, we could drop points. I am going for a very narrow 2-1 win with Cree and Gnonto to prove too fast for Rotherham's back line, but watch out for those high balls that get Ilan into a flap.

The team we played at Rotherham, and the style, did make breaking down their low block difficult. I wonder with having Bamford now giving us a different option to the Summerville trickery might mean we’re able to mix it up a lot more? Plus, with being at home, I just can’t see the low block working this time

54 years of supporting Leeds has taught me not to expect anything. We have stuffed up plenty of home bankers and not so long ago, Wigan did a job on us, with ten men. I joke you are right, not me.

I think nicely summed up by THOF

We generally promise so much but deliver so very little in end result.
Forget about attacking down the right hand side and have Summerville and Gnonto on the left cutting in and cutting them to ribbons

Looks like a home banker on paper..Think there’ll be an early scare, inasmuch as they’ll go 1-0 up.Reckon it will end up 4-1 to Leeds though.

Everyone on here will understandably confidentiality predict a Leeds win by 3 or more goals and I certainly wouldn't be surprised if we put Rotherham to the sword but my steadfast determination to go with the one nil victory margin remains and 3 more points to the mighty
whites that keeps us well on track in our quest to get automatic promotion.

Morning all.

Thanks for the thread, Earl.

I'll go with Macca's cautious approach while still hoping we "smash the sh!theads!"

Either way, three points and a clean sheet, please!

Morning. Just gonna get ready to go to this.

Has to be a comfortable win on paper but we all know Leeds never make it easy.

2-1 after they score first.

Hope I’m wrong and it’s 6-0😏

On paper easy home win, in reality a win but a struggle to break down a double decker in front of their goal - usual opposition 'Cup Final' mentality.

...oh and as ever thanks Earl.

Thanks for the MDT Earl👍.

Right, here we go … 6-0 … Paddy brace, Gnonto brace, Ampadu and Connor Roberts on his debut😁🌞👍.

(no, not yet, but will be shortly 🍻)

One of these games we will get some luck to go with our superior play. Hope that game is today, 4-0 whites.
Bamford, Gnonto, Cree, Ampadu. Come on Leeds!

Goals for and against for the top 4!..

Leicester 64/23..Southampton 55/32..Leeds 52/26..Ipswich 53/38!..

Only Leicester are smashing it!..

Shots taken per game we miss our share of goals, but surely we should be looking at where we are and see apart from Leicester the clubs around us ain't doing any better!..

3 goals between 4th and 2nd, all I'm hoping is the players that played the cup game are fresh enough to play this game!..

From what Farke was saying, Roberts had little opportunity to train with the squad would like to see him come on and if he does it will probably be when Paddy and Willy have both scored their 2 allowing the gaffer to experiment putting Cooper on, moving Archie into midfield and Amps up front.
Press conference dominated by the lack of fairness with our fixtures to accommodate the television coverage, twas always the same with us, it is like the 70's revisited when fixture congestion conspired to rob us of trophies. I hope it isn't yet another chapter in this sorry tale about how the powers that be have got it in for LUFC.

Should, but we did play 120 mins away to Plymouth midweek. Quality should prevail. Cannot drop points to the worst side in the league.

Starting XI: Meslier (GK), Firpo, Ampadu (C), Kamara, Bamford, Summerville, Rodon, Gray, Georginio, Gnonto, Gruev.

Substitutes: Klaesson (GK), Cresswell, Cooper, Piroe, Anthony, Byram, Gelhardt, Roberts, Joseph.

I like the look of that starting line up , be interesting to see if Summerville and Gnonto can cut through the Millers defence.
That's a good looking bench too, hope DF makes good use at the right times.

Well I seem to remember when we drew at their place and the disappointment and fallout because we were 10 or 11 points behind Ipswich but now we've wiped out that deficit in early Feb with16 games to go so we're in good shape and obviously Southampton look like they will pose more of a threat to us getting automatic but I think Farke and his players have done a magnificent job thus far and hopefully today is another 3 points in the bag to add to our tally.

So James, Struiyk, Dallas, Shacks and Darlow are our injured/ill absentees but I think the bench still looks quite strong.
