I know you find it extremely difficult to agree with anything I put up Tam, but it 's evident that Hwang is not and has not been 100% fit for some time, including the Asia Cup.

It's not about lying, but I would say that most payers are not completely honest about their fitness, as they all want tp play a part.

Hopefully, he'll now take that rest, which will benefit both himself and the club.

I literally said that I don't think Hwang has been fit the last two games and I saw him feeling his hamstring. You said I was making excuses for him, before also going to to say you don't think he is fit and should be rested.

There is only person trying to disagree with people, despite then saying the same thing. New year, same Wolfie.

The FA Cup quarter final against Coventry will be played at Molineux in the weekend of 16th March when we were due to be playing Bournemouth at home. With all 4 quarter finals due to be televised we can guarantee it won’t be played at 3 on the Saturday and we wait to see when. That will mean the Bournemouth game will be rearranged for a midweek date, which if that makes the atmosphere under the lights as good as last night then that will also be worth looking forward to.

If we beat Coventry the semi final at Wembley will be on the weekend of April 20th when we were due to be playing Arsenal at home. So another midweek game to look forward to. And it would mean Wolves playing a massive role in where the Premier League title ends up. We will have to play Arsenal at home, and Man City and Liverpool away in the last two or three weeks of the season

Good job we’ve got points on the board now then, as we have a cup final to look forward to.

(Maybe ? )

Whatever happens in the run in it is hard to complain about this season. We certainly did better than anyone would have expected.

*are doing better

not 'did'

Joao Gomes nominated for PL player of the month. Certainly, on his performance against Spurs alone, he deserves it.

But he's up against players from Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal, amongst others, so don't expect too much.

Just seen the table showing days lost through injury this season (to 28 Feb). We are 20th with 316 days lost. Top are Newcastle with 1,333, this has been widely mentioned.

Have we just been lucky or is there something the club is doing better than most?

The trick is to play them when they're injured mate.

Gonna be an interesting summer regarding our better players you would think.

Neto
Cunha
Ait-Nouri
Gomes

Our prized assets and all four will likely see interest.

You would think Neto would attract bids of around £60mk?

Just think what he'd be worth if he could kick the ball with his right foot?

Twice as many feet must mean twice as many £s.

I think it's more his scoring record. He should probably score more than he does. Take for example that break he had last night after he came on. He was in on goal with only one defender trying to chase him down. A player like Salah, Jota, Son, Martinelli, Saka etc probably score there more times than not. Neto took too long, allowed the defender to read what he'd do and had his shot blocked.

He only has two goals this season. Whilst he is getting loads of assists, scoring and composure in front of goal is probably the one aspect of the game he could improve on. If he did that, he would be right up there with the best Premier League players.

Completely agree Tam

Don’t think it’s just goals he has to improve on.. He’s a star player in a counter attacking set up. But top teams regularly play against teams that defend deep and he needs to prove he can break down a packed defence and not just when there’s space. Still be disappointed if we sold him for less than £70m though given what the top teams have paid for other players

I'm a huge fan of Neto, but in addition to things he could improve on I do believe he could track back a bit more when needed, mind you he's probably too knackered most of the time.

posted on 29/2/24

He could track back but with three defenders, two wing backs and two defensive midfield players I think GON has the view that the front three should be able to mostly focus on attacking, which has lead to us scoring more

Can't argue with that

Hope no-one thinks we'll breeze past Coventry - a decent side with good recent cup history. Their record in the Championship is slightly better than our in the PL.

posted on 29/2/24

Have to respect them. Don't want to get suckered at this stage when the tie definitely favours us.

posted on 29/2/24

Should be a great atmosphere for that cup tie. Coventry are entitled to 15% of capacity for an FA Cup game so they will have both the Steve Bull lower tier and the North Bank quadrant.

When are Sky going to tell us when we can go and watch it?

Given Sky don't have the rights to the FA Cup, probably never.

Suspect all four games will be televised by either BBC or ITV so may be a day or two before we know. Suspect ours will be the least attractive, just hope we don't end up in a Friday night slot.

I can see us in the Saturday lunch time slot. 12.30 kick off
