I think there is more depth to the tour, ie, the rubbish players arent as rubbish as they used to be.

The absolute highest standard these days probably isnt as high as Hendry, Ronnie, Higgins in their prime.

I think the standard overall is better in the sense that there are way more good players, but the standard of the top players capable of winnings tournaments has decreased in my opinion. Ronnie Williams and Higgins are still in the top 16 at nearly 50.
