Jose had a habit of picking on players for no apparent reason. His attack on Luke Shaw was completely out of order and people said so at the time.

It's a big reason he's lost his touch. Players just don't respect and respond to him like they once did.

On the subject of Jose, some club should really sign him up as a footballing consultant as his knowledge of the game is unrivalled. He may have his best days as a manager behind him but he can offer so much more.

The most diabolical manager post Ferguson in my opinion. Yes, I put him even above Moyes in that order. My simple reason being at least with Moyes, we could have appointed someone competent after that and gone on to progress.

Jose's very much a marmite figure. I was never a big fan, and we definitely got him when he was way past his best. I also feel that SAF, in a good way, adapted his personality and mellowed as he got older. Jose seems to have got worse - his behaviour towards Anthony Taylor I felt was terrible, no matter what you think about refs.

I'm curious as to whether Jose's vendettas against certain players were emotionally driven or calculated. Was he just a bastаrd? Or did he believe benefit to making an example of humiliating a particular player would have a net effect of maintaining discipline and motivation among the rest - and didn't have any qualms about doing this because he was a bаstard?

Love Jose although he is often a pr-ck to others without much reason. Wasn’t the thinking that Bastian represented LVG and so Jose wanted him out? Obviously not a very good reason but not sure why else other than Jose just being a noob.

Probably a bit of both. Obviously Jose is a bastarrd but he generally seemed to mainly have issue with those with a weaker mentality while he built strong bonds with the stronger characters. Which is why it’s odd he didn’t seem to gel with Bastian as you’d think he’s exactly the kind of character Jose likes.

But if the rumours about Bastian going off to Germany and to watch his GF play tennis are true then I can understand why any manager would not be happy. But no idea if it’s true or not.
