Maino was my MOTM.
Frustratingly enough probably only guehi, saka and palmer even close, which says it all. A really poor team perfomance.

Gayhe picked up that early yellow then settled well. Splitting hairs in terms of picking out outstanding performers tbh, we were below par but Mainoo was positive and when there were options to play forward he did, sadly he was either ignored by Rice, who was awful at times, or the option to play forward was not there at all. He often played it safe, probably under orders not to lose the ball.

That's how it's pronounced!

I'm seeing a lot of criticism for Rice, when he was clearly our best midfielder in the 2nd half.

First time I noted he does not seem best defensively at tracking runners

That's one side of his game he needs to work on, he has tendencies to switch off.

Yes, and not that strong in the tackle yet

was completely trippiers fault tbf

Thought Guehi was absolute shiiiite, silly fouls and seems to struggle to make simple 12 yard passes. Look how quickly Rice & Mainoo were zipping it into each others feet compared to him, looked very awkward and constantly slowing down play. Same for Trippier aswell

Rice's passing was the worst in the whole team. Guy just kept drilling it at people and overhitting.

I think your showing club bias here chris tbh.
had a higher pass percentage than rice (93% to 90%) and completed 32 more passes. only gave away 2 fouls also, the first of which was the hospital ball by trippier.

Trippier I agree with you though.

96% yesterday, and considering he was actually progressing the play it makes it even more impressive.

Mainoo is my hope for Man Utd to end Man City dominance. He didn't have his best game yesterday as the people in front of him were non-existent. I think if we had Grealish and Rashford instead of Saka and Foden, Mainoo play would have resulted into something. I am baffled how Grealish didn't make it due to how he can glide past the players, Rashford you can understand as he was off form for a year.

It was true 26 seconds in Saka is played in and he kicks it into opposition player

face palm indeed. His two claims about passing and fouls were not true.

Rice was probably motm. His role doesn't seem to be properly defined cos Southgate doesn't know who to play next to him
