I could.

In a rather pathetic boast, I have installed myself a coolant system for a train before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So, how does this help me?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Cos I've had to fix faulty coolant tanks etc etc blah blah I'm a siiiick engineer
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So how does this help with me and my car query?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't get why this is so hard to understand?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, mate, can you tell me why I might be losing coolant from my expansion tank?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dunno mate, sorry

Hi 1man.

Most likely though ben you need to buy a new cap for your coolant expansion tank. The seal has probably degraded (they do as the corrosive nature of the coolant fluid reacts with the rubber of the seals) and thus there is leakage.

There is no rubber seal on the tank cap... presumably it will be a similar problem on one of the hoses

There will be a seal of sorts in the cap, Ron. You can't have a pressurised system without one, if there genuinely isn't thats probably why it leaks.

Wagen = Car

Love it!

Yeah, you don't need to explain that.
