Tbf I think Sissoko would be ok in the inverted fullback role for us, from your list:

Gosh that list shows how badly we need another midfielder or two. Bentancur our best midfielder actually looked consistently great over a year ago. Maddison looked great for 10 games. Sarr has actually been the best for us over the season IMO.

I actually think it’s not bad and (very controversial) our strongest midfield+depth combined we’ve had this decade

I mean, given the state we've been in the past few years saying since 2020 isn't really a bold claim. Suggesting it's better than peak Dembele, Wanyama and Eriksen is mad IMO. None of our current starters in their roles are better

b) most of the players, and in particular those bought over the last couple of years, are great

Obviously Maddison and Bentancur have not been at their best since coming back from injury, although I think Bents is starting to show glimpses.
