Said same on another thread………
The predicament here is even when we have our defenders back the defending will be shocking. When they were fit and playing we were still shat defensively. Ange refused to sort it then so what makes us think he will change when they are back available.
Not so according to Sandy who is the best judge of managers and chairman on this forum and anyone else who disagrees is stupid.
I just read his premier league record is 27 wins, 8 draws, 20 losses.
Take the first 10 games away which seem like a new manager bounce and its 19 wins 6 draws 20 losses.
That's just unacceptable. Even before injuries we were poor. I think it's time to get someone else in. Things aren't getting better unless levy buys him 4 first teamers with bionic hamstrings in January.
Either he isn't as intelligent as I had him down as and he truly believes injuries have made us defensively rubbish, or he's being disingenuous.
As you say, we've still been bad defensively with our first team players. We conceded 4 last season against Newcastle with VDV and Romero playing, and then 3 to Arsenal at home in the next game. Even so, we spent quite a bit on Dragusin so that he can fill in when required...is this not something of an admittance that he's been a waste of money by Ange? Besides, players like Romero and Udogie have often been poor defensively and cost us, now suddenly we're really missing them?
Just comes across like a poor excuse for bad form. The rate of losses running through the season whether with injured players out or not, paints a different picture.
Ange is fortunate it took for now for us to concede that many. Could have conceded the same amount against Bournemouth.
Just a reminder we played the best team in Europe today and more than few of them had a whole week to prepare for today.
But lets ignore all the facts you state in your first line 🤦🏻♂️.

Let's be honest, the only hope we have left this season is a cup trophy. That's all we're hanging on to now. If by some miracle we were able to win one while carrying on the dodgy league form and finishing anywhere between 8th and 14th, would he be worth keeping on for the next season anyway? Thanks for the trophy but not sure he would. That's if he was able to make it up to late Feb to be able to win a trophy.

Has anyone else noticed that the ange deepthroaters can’t actually articulate their points with clear reasoning? It is just facetious one liners like “shock horror we lost to the best team in europe” or “bunch of bed wetters”.
Theres no constructive analysis of the current predicament we are in. At best, they argue that why replace ange when there is no other manager to come in. Ok so we are at the point now of keeping someone who sucks just because theres no one else?

And we conceded more goals to them than any team they've played this season. Even Saints didn't concede that many. In fact Saints gave them more of a game and were somewhat unlucky.
Perhaps we should expect to lose to Forest too? I mean we'll have our injured players unavailable and they're top 4 so why not?

Yeah tbf, hes actually done well to make it to Christmas, cos a month or so ago that weren’t even looking likely.
Funnily enough, ideal scenario is Ange is successful and can turn it around because i also worry that who else is there, and i cba for starting the process again.
But I have 2 main issues:
1. He literally doesn’t help himself, why is he so stubborn and refusing to adapt at all? Making adjustments doesn’t mean u dont believe in your philosophy. I watched an insightful interview on kulu where he said he believes in the philosophy when we win eg 4-0 city, but when we keep losing it’s hard to keep that faith. Id imagine the whole squad feel the same.
2. Why is Ange getting so much leeway, compared to previous managers? His record is shocking and none of the last 4-5 managers were able to get away with this. Just makes no sense.

Never before under Levy have we given a manager this much slack - and what’s Ange done to deserve it ? Finish 5th? Beat Ferencvaros?

I've not fallen for anything. Yes, we are too attacking and it costs us every time we concede.
And to answer Biss' point about Ange getting leeway. We have sacked upteen managers with less than 18 months in charge and it'e gotten us no where. Do we really need another reset right now?
Plus, if Ange gets more players at his disposal then lets see where it takes us. Hence, three more windows for me. We need to fill out the squad with 22 decent players.
Either the way, the next manager will have something to work with. We still have the 3rd youngest squad in the league.

Point 2 I can't answer. I would have to say that Levy is trying to break the mould and giving a manager more time despite rubbish form, where he's usually just pulled the trigger. I guess a lot of money has already been invested under Ange and we've seen a few big results that have kept him in the job. Don't know how long it will last, today must have made Levy more itchy than ever.
There may have been a time when I was in Luka's position and felt he needed more time but indeed when you compare to previous managers you wonder how he's allowed this much time and poor form. Makes some of the other guys incredibly unlucky to have been dismissed.
As for you first point, we've seen a few managers now stick to their guns and refuse to play differently. With the newly promoted team it's got their managers either relegated again or sacked. The difference with Spurs is that we have a bigger budget and better players but it's the same naive approach to managing in a much tougher league than these managers are used to. It seems you have to be willing to at least show some adaptability and flexibility in order to make it work long term.
