Kept my user name pretty consistent all the way back to the old bbc site where I joined in the -15 points season


Probably more on a reader of site than a prolific poster but will weigh on from time to time. One of my main themes is failure to invest and recruit at critical moments in the clubs' history so I tend to comment on that sometimes against the general tide/feeling as I feel we have been burnt so many times on that area
I guess we all want the same thing. It's just we have different opinions on how to get there.

Rob I remember you from the BBC days.

Quite a few others too.

Eric was nuts. Cheeries/Drearies was all his work.
He turned on everyone in the end. Funny chap.

I've wondered from time to time if Original Koppite's
still alive and kicking? Came across as an older bloke

Not wanting to change the thread at all, but that's an interesting comment by DOHA.... "when ADRITK posts, I tend to take notice"

I agree ADRITK seems to have some links which means he's in the 'know'. Would love to know how but can understand why they might never become public. But just made me ponder too... other than ADRITK, are there more on here who have got some, even potentially tenuous, but still valid, links at the club for the insider info?.... got a feeling Jonty has some contacts, but does this mean the rest of us really don't have a scoobie !??

Salonika, pretty sure our ITK posters are Don and Jonty. Don has mentioned how before on a couple of threads few years back. Jonty knows Popey.

JohnnyLA (another poster missing off the grand list)
had a relative who I'm fairly certain was part of Macron
or one of our kit providers. So he had a few bits to tell.

Rest of us are purely fans with opinions.

I see JLA post on social media occasionally as mentioned previous. Hadn't spoken to him for a while and this thread, plus events in LA currently, gave me the jolt to reach out. I sent him best wishes and hope he's okay. He lives pretty close to the fires, so naturally concerned with that right now. Still Leeds mad!!

went to post one day, think after a league one game?!? if memory serves, wasn't there, found JA on google and it looked the same, then saw the likes of Jonty, NJS, and LIW thought 'oh, just another 606', yeah that makes sense

Yeah similar ... posted on the old bbc site in the mid-2000s. Think my username was based on my then car reg number (L11 DSU). Don't post anywhere as much these days, but do read/view regularly. Great site, even with differences - you still get great insight and views on the team/club.

thing is, people been posting for over 2 decades, all with our 606 names, which can change, so memory can distort sometime.

I remember the dreary/cheerie days - and indeed Eric. Eric, from memory, seemed more out to cause confrontation/issue than actually contribute. Bit of a pot stirrer from memory.....
