One thing I am sure of … no other manager in recent history is surviving 5 points in 27. Especially off the back of the second half of last season which was just a joke
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't know where this patience from Levy has come from all of a sudden. Does he think that Ange is going to recreate what Arteta did after a slow start? Because Arteta had already started making progress by this point and that's ignoring the trophy he'd won.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm guess the patience has come from his experiences of sacking a manager every 18months and the fact he left the manager short again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wasn't it you that told us that Levy was backing him after the Chelsea loss but that results needed to improve? We had all the injury problems back then. Well here we are 6 games later and form is still terrible.

It’s getting worse, we’re going backwards rapidly.
All this talk about injuries - guess what, there will always be injuries and because of the way we play under Ange we’re going to get a lot, just like last season. So if he can’t do it when we get injuries then it won’t work anyway.

Not so sure you can be so sure of the injuries continuing. The injuries to players settled down at Celtic. Also Klopp tactics were blamed for Liverpools injuries at one point they to settled down.
All I know is, take the equivalent players out of any other PL squad that we have had injured - for the duration also - they’d stuggle. Maybe the top teams not just as much. But that’s due to their back up players being better.
I’m really surprised Levy hasn’t sacked him. Levy loves sacking a manager, and this is probably the worst you’ve ever been since he became chairman.

We're pretty much where we were the end of last season, back to losing to anyone but the worst teams in the league. Now we have a few players missing, back then it was near enough a fully fit first team. Doesn't seem to make much difference though, performances still aren't good enough and we ship too many goals.
Ange is actually quite fortunate he hasn't seen more hammerings this season because there've been a few games we could have been on the end of them. Today was another. Big losses during poor form are often what gets a man an instant sacking.

I’d just like to add also, whilst there has been mentions of the injuries with the media. It’s no where near the storm there would be if say Arsenal had Raya, Neto, Gabriel, Saliba, Zinchenko, Calafiori, Jorginho, Nwaneri and Jesus out.
Or Liverpool had Allison, Keheller, VVD, Konate, Robertson, Gomez, MacAllister, Jones, Elliot and Nunez out.
Yeah but since when has Levy given a shiiiiiit what the fans think?

We’ve had our entire first choice attack available most the season also - it’s not good enough

I literally don’t care, as I believe his system is at the very least, partially responsible for the injuries.
I know in my heart of hearts, if we had Iraola, we would be 5/6th right about now.
It’s just another season down the pan. Make a change now and if we could get Iraola - then the FA cup and Europa are still there to make it memorable.

Udogie has still be our first choice LB. Spence is a RB playing on the left. You can see how lop sided it is with a right footed player in LCB and a right footed player at LB.
Also you only listed 8 players. None of which are CBs or GKs.
Can only assume that Levy’s given him the benefit of the doubt because of the injuries and that he’s not able to get the right man for the job midseason.

Yet he was one of our better players today and has done well since he came into the side, while Udogie has been underwhelming this season.
Gray also done well filling in at CB. Romero on the other hand has received plenty of criticism for performances this season. And while Vic is our best keeper, we've still seen some good goalkeeping displays in his absence.
Like I say, the injury thing has been overplayed. We do miss VDV though no question. Doesn't mean we should have 1 win in our last 9 and be 14th in the league.
My main criticism of Ange is the recruitment. Two of his big signings I just don’t rate. If they were completely his calls.
Maddison simply is a luxury player that only turns up for 1 game in 5.
Dragusin simply doesn’t suit his system, which is cardinal. Considering you think he knows the attributes needed to play the high line.
Some of the younger signings look promising though.

If you believe that truly. Then you will be calling for whoever the new manager is to sell the players we have out. As the players that have been understudies are of the relevant quality. No point selling out top wages to Romero if you believe an 18 yo CM playing CB is better suited.

There have definitely been occasions where Ange. could have rotated better to give certain players more rest.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The injuries will keep happening - VDV can’t do recovery runs 4/5 times a game, especially when the weather gets cold without his hamstrings going.
We’ve had our entire first choice attack available most the season also - it’s not good enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough. But are you saying if Arteta or Slot had the same level of injuries their attack would have them in the positions they are currently?!?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I literally don’t care, as I believe his system is at the very least, partially responsible for the injuries.
I know in my heart of hearts, if we had Iraola, we would be 5/6th right about now.
It’s just another season down the pan. Make a change now and if we could get Iraola - then the FA cup and Europa are still there to make it memorable.

We still have the majority of our first team players available. Injury excuse doesn't wash anymore.

Utter bollacks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Porro, Kulu, Maddison, BJ, Bissouma, Sarr, Solanke, Son...all available. Udogie probably shouldn't be considered first team at the moment after Spence's displays.

I rate Iraola. I would be happy with his appointment. That doesn’t detract from how unlucky we have been. Both can be true.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
And have the injuries improved?
Porro, Drag, Gray, Solanke, Kulu, Biss have been run into the ground. Apart from one free week we have been playing 3 times a week since late November.
You could tell tonight we how flat we are.

If you believe that truly. Then you will be calling for whoever the new manager is to sell the players we have out. As the players that have been understudies are of the relevant quality. No point selling out top wages to Romero if you believe an 18 yo CM playing CB is better suited.

People keep forgetting how young the squad is as well.
Patience.

Exactly. Everyone and their dog was crying out to be entertained again and for a complete clear out/ squad rebuild. Now that’s happening and we have been hit with injuries like we haven’t seen before - particularly in defence - everyone is expecting miracles.

I would say we've been flat for much of the season but that's just me.
There have definitely been occasions where Ange. could have rotated better to give certain players more rest.
