Not sure most get this article. It`s not just about last nights match. Its about the future, and where all these younger players will be in five years when they all mature.

Quadruple incoming.

Well a lot of good youngsters don't live up to the hype. That's just a fact. We know it ourselves from the likes of Skipp, Winks, Lennon, Townsend etc. Even Alli should have gone on to be better. Don't even know where he is now.

Maybe at least one can go on to be a success though.

I think you're somewhat jumping the gun with this article Sandy, but I like your optimism.

I have always maintained get all the injured senior players back, integrated with all the youngsters, and Spurs will be flying. I would be astonished if results do not improve as the players return from injury. The younger players have also all had valuable experience playing, which they would not probably have had but for all the injuries.

Spurs will almost certainly win a trophy before Arsenal do. Farteta talks a good game, but never delivers.

I never rated Skipp, Winks or Townsend. Always thought all three were bog average players from the off. I rate Gray, Bergval, Moore far, far higher.

They may well be better. I mean Gray has already looked good but we did pay a lot for him.

Still a long way to go for these youngsters. Best not to hype them up too much. Give them more chances and see what they can do. They should already feature in the Brentford game somewhere.

The young players did really well last night, Hopefully Ange gives them more opportunities especially as his way of playing or our medical/ conditioning staff are killing our players (Don't forget, we had loads of injuries last season too, Just not many games !!!)

With that said....Elfsborg are woeful (Championship level at best) and are not even playing league football currently (Its winter in Sweden)

Other than learning that are young players look good in cameo roles against poor opposition (the level of club we'd probably be sending them on loan to) I didnt learn a thing last night.... They offered ZERO threat going forward (Sandy could have played in goal)

It was nice moment in what's been a bleak season

Before anyone comes back with "we are still in 3 Cups" I am well aware of that BUT for the price of tickets and revenue generated by the club... I think we are entitled to more than team and manager capable of competing against powder puff opposition.

Get past Liverpool or Villa, win 2 or 3 league games in a row & act like we are aware of our situation in the transfer mkt and i'll wind my neck in.. Until then.. Jury's very much out.

Overreacting to last night is a sign of just how far in the gutter this club is

Easy now Sandy.

There are a million kids who start well and fall away. I remember going to watch Spurs v Luton in 91 and Scott Houghton scored 2 along with Lineker to win 4-1. Never heard of him again. Then again a couple of years later, Andy Turner scored a winner against Everton and then, nothing. Macheda at United is another. There's so many of them. Most of these guys will likely end up in the lower leagues, truth be told.

Obviously Bergvall and Gray are different gravy and Moore is THE one from our academy. Beyond that, I'm not so sure.

WTF are you doing coming on here with your positivity and optimism Sandy.

Please remember our manager is shiiit, our owners are shiiit, the players are gutless, the youth is over hyped.

Please stay on topic you loon.

Yeh I forgot I was supposed to be all doom and gloom. Amusing how every victory is supposedly because the opposition is poor. But every defeat the board goes down into meltdown, and wants Levy out and the manager sacked.

I could swear some of our supporters want Spurs to fail just so they can say I TOLD YOU SO.

theres nothing exciting about Johnson tbf
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Plenty of time to develop. He is Spurs top scorer. So whilst he may not always contribute, he does score goals. Suspect he will play a big part over the coming years.

Jesus, you are easily pleased? Impact sub only for me but hey ho, all subjective of course, he ain't no Tony Galvin

Yep, 24 years, 16 manager and one trophy...our stewardship have been ace. Got a shiny new stadium and training facilities though so every cloud...if only there was a trophy for that

Love the youth, love the fact our U21's last season were league winners, love to see them in 1st team Spurs shirts in the v near future tearing up the Premier League, until then however...#timeforchange
