As I said back then, squad similarities and results aside, he wouldn't be another Moyes purely due to his personality.

As you can see now, fans and the players absolutely love his man management and tactical prowess. Even the pundits and some nasty journo's trying to stir sh@t get absolutely gobsmack silenced by his witty answers and vast tactical knowledge without any malice from his side (unlike say a Mourinho or LvG who loved to clap back with a vengeance and make enemies everywhere...).

Moyes was simply not a good match for most title contenders with all the media and player power back then...

I'm not sure what the heirarchy is like at Liverpool but we didn't just lose Fergie we lost Gill too. So we had Moyes come and Woodward taking over, feckin hell. As long as you don't bring in a donkey like Fellaini you should be alright.

Liverpool's team will be much weaker unless they make some really good signings. They'll have to hope that they can strike gold again.

Fergie squeezed every last drop out of an ailing squad in his last season to win the league. We struggled in the CL in his last two seasons as well which was another indicator of the squad's fall off. Liverpool tbf are smashing it in every competition.

They're in a better place than we were.

Our recruitment was led by donkeys post Fergie/Gill. Theirs I'd imagine is also in a better position so they'll probably bring in better players.

Not at all. Remember, we've experienced this fall off already. What'll happen at first is that you get new players to replace your better ones and you'll think the new ones are decent. They won't be as good though and thus the slide begins. All I've done is got the timing wring by a year.

So you're saying you've got something right that hasn't even happened yet.
