No Maddison and no VDV is a disaster. Levy - and it really is Levy, has left us with a paper thin squad where the back up players are very well known by our fans to not be good enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most squads in the EPL are the same tbf. Liverpool were proof of that today.
You have 11 players out of a 25 man squad injured.
4 teenagers and a 21 year old keeper started today.
However, I don't rate Ange at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it was a quote I took from an article Strike wrote before.
Just used it illustrate how at the moment we are royally facked on the injury front. And whilst the manager is far from perfect a lot of people need to appreciate what he is working with.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has had months without VDV and never been able to set us up in a way where we don’t look like conceding 2 or 3 a game.
Maddison - i actually don’t think Ange likes him.
The man is clueless. Bournemouth have 10 injuries - yet Iraola has them still in the FA cup and fighting for top 6, this is after we poached their top scorer in the summer.
Ange out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t know Bournemouth has had more than 10 players out for over 2 months and that their same players are playing every 3/4 days.
Do you know who else didn’t play as many first team players today? Liverpool, I wonder how they got on against a team who has won one game three months in the championship, just think if they had to play that same line up for the next two months!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have 8 players out since 18th of January. Not mid-November as has been the case for Tottenham.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And they are Bournemouth and we bought their top striker in the summer. Iraola hasn’t mentioned injuries as an excuse once
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disasters aside Bournemouth have done well. Iraola I have always rated. But it’s a good thing he isn’t have to play 18 & 19 year old players week in week out. I don’t think they’d be doing just as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His main CB is 19 and playing his first season in the Prem - next
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which one would that be?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dean Huijsen - scored against us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was his first start. He has played 13 games since then.
Meanwhile we have had nearly 50 starts in PL games for players 18 and under. With over 4,000 minutes between them.

They are Bournemouth, we are Spurs - swap Ange and Iraola around - absolutely no chance ge has Bournemouth where Iraola does.
But let’s go back to the one killer question that defeats all of the Ange in lot every time - when Spurs sack him, which club in the Prem is likely to give him another shot?
Someone on another site just reminded me that Ange’s excuse last season was that we didn’t play many games and therefore found it difficult to get a rhythm - now he is moaning about too many games.
So which is it?
He is officially now our second worst manager of the last 40 years

That a hypothetical that none of us truly know the answer to.
I see him like Bielsa though with his principles. He is very one dimensional and that would put many off.
The more important question is who would want to manage spurs because they believe they can have us competing. And not just someone looking a quick pay day.
Imagine if Jose or Conte were managers this season. Around Christmas there would’ve been a press conference with uttering to ensure they got the boot ‘by mutual consent’.

Ange is a clown - I’m not trying to convince you, I don’t care. I’m just looking forward to the day Levy sacks him so we can all move on. For whatever reason I don’t think Levy will do that until the summer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has had 8 players out for 4 or 5 games. That’s a bit different to having 11 players or so out for nearly twelve weeks juggling Europe as well. Saying it isn’t in being ingenious no matter your opinion of Ange Postecoglou.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are Bournemouth, we are Spurs - swap Ange and Iraola around - absolutely no chancege has Bournemouth where Iraola does.
But let’s go back to the one killer question that defeats all of the Ange in lot every time - when Spurs sack him, which club in the Prem is likely to give him another shot?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That a hypothetical that none of us truly know the answer to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch - undoubtedly
I think Iraola will come in the summer
I think Frank would come in the summer.
Back to you though, which club do you think would give Ange a second chance?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like I said it’s a hypothetical. A lot of poorer managers than Ange have managed to get employed multiple times. Some managers have managed to make a career out of constant failure. I still just feel he has to stay the rest of the season. Anything less that 7 wins from the remaining 14 games and Europa league semi and he has to go.
48pts+ and two semi finals and I feel he deserves another season all things considered.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So? Iraola is getting it done, with injuries, using young players, far inferior resources.
Ange is a clown - I’m not trying to convince you, I don’t care. I’m just looking forward to the day Levy sacks him so we can all move on. For whatever reason I don’t think Levy will do that until the summer

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can live with that as he doesn’t have a hope in hell of winning half our remaining league games. The only game I feel confident about is the Southampton home game. Chelsea, Liverpool and Wolves away we’re guaranteed not to win and I fancy we will struggle massively at West Ham, Fulham and Villa. That gives him 7 home games and Ipswich - I reckon 3 wins between now and the end of the season, 4 at a push

When Levy sacks Ange do you trust him to get a good manager who can get us back on track ?.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Any good manager would not take the job.
That's the point...Levy is stuck with down under!
Terrible today against a team who had injury problems themselves. These early goals in halves are becoming a regularity too and show the level of urgency we must have going into them. What is Ange saying to them?
Are fans still blind to see that this manager is not the answer?

Well considering he came fifth last season after losing the clubs talisman there are loads. But the obvious ones:
Dowie
Wilder
McCarthy
Allardyce
Dyche
Parker
Warnock
Brown
Adams
De Boer
Flores
Meulensteen
Reed
Bradley
Marsch
Jones
Martin
Lampard
Gerrard
There are tonnes of others but you get the jist.

The man is clueless. Bournemouth have 10 injuries - yet Iraola has them still in the FA cup and fighting for top 6, this is after we poached their top scorer in the summer.
Ange out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t know Bournemouth has had more than 10 players out for over 2 months and that their same players are playing every 3/4 days.
Do you know who else didn’t play as many first team players today? Liverpool, I wonder how they got on against a team who has won one game three months in the championship, just think if they had to play that same line up for the next two months!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have 8 players out since 18th of January. Not mid-November as has been the case for Tottenham.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And they are Bournemouth and we bought their top striker in the summer. Iraola hasn’t mentioned injuries as an excuse once
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disasters aside Bournemouth have done well. Iraola I have always rated. But it’s a good thing he isn’t have to play 18 & 19 year old players week in week out. I don’t think they’d be doing just as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His main CB is 19 and playing his first season in the Prem - next
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which one would that be?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dean Huijsen - scored against us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was his first start. He has played 13 games since then.
Meanwhile we have had nearly 50 starts in PL games for players 18 and under. With over 4,000 minutes between them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has had 8 players out for 4 or 5 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“A lot of poorer managers than Ange”… like who exactly? Genuinely asking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well considering he came fifth last season after losing the clubs talisman there are loads. But the obvious ones:
Dowie
Wilder
McCarthy
Allardyce
Dyche
Parker
Warnock
Brown
Adams
De Boer
Flores
Meulensteen
Reed
Bradley
Marsch
Jones
Martin
Lampard

Allardyce was brilliant at Bolton who sank without trace without him. He also finished 8th with Everton.

Terrible today against a team who had injury problems themselves. These early goals in halves are becoming a regularity too and show the level of urgency we must have going into them. What is Ange saying to them?
Are fans still blind to see that this manager is not the answer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Our goals and attacking play have dried up also - other than our goal and the Son chance we created little else. There was Danso chance at a corner but that’s a set piece rather than a chance created. This after not having a shot at Anfield.
Even at Brentford we only created Sarrs goal.
It’s worrying that the attack have packed up as well now
Yeah we have alot on injuries and played on Thursday, where as Villa had the whole week to prepare so obviously they would be fresher.
It's not rocket science. The best team won. Take it on the chin and move on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s the manner of the defeat - zero intensity or focus in the first half. A strong 10 mins at the start of the second half undone by clowning in the defence and then some token consolation effort at the end.
Villa were bang average at best last night, I wasn’t impressed at all, but they won
It's about perspective.
Might as well stick with Ange until the end of the season or if we get knocked out of the ropey
The squad should be in better shape by March so no more excuses until then.

Why is Ange any better than them? Because he finished 5th in the Premier League?! I’m sorry, but there’s no way on Earth that he deserves more credit than Sam Allardyce, Sean Dyche, Warnock and a few of the others mentioned. Have a look at their win percentages comparatively which speaks volumes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most squads in the EPL are the same tbf. Liverpool were proof of that today.
You have 11 players out of a 25 man squad injured.
4 teenagers and a 21 year old keeper started today.
However, I don't rate Ange at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it was a quote I took from an article Strike wrote before.
Just used it illustrate how at the moment we are royally facked on the injury front. And whilst the manager is far from perfect a lot of people need to appreciate what he is working with.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has had months without VDV and never been able to set us up in a way where we don’t look like conceding 2 or 3 a game.
Maddison - i actually don’t think Ange likes him.
The man is clueless. Bournemouth have 10 injuries - yet Iraola has them still in the FA cup and fighting for top 6, this is after we poached their top scorer in the summer.
Ange out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t know Bournemouth has had more than 10 players out for over 2 months and that their same players are playing every 3/4 days.
Do you know who else didn’t play as many first team players today? Liverpool, I wonder how they got on against a team who has won one game three months in the championship, just think if they had to play that same line up for the next two months!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have 8 players out since 18th of January. Not mid-November as has been the case for Tottenham.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And they are Bournemouth and we bought their top striker in the summer. Iraola hasn’t mentioned injuries as an excuse once
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disasters aside Bournemouth have done well. Iraola I have always rated. But it’s a good thing he isn’t have to play 18 & 19 year old players week in week out. I don’t think they’d be doing just as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His main CB is 19 and playing his first season in the Prem - next
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which one would that be?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dean Huijsen - scored against us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was his first start. He has played 13 games since then.
Meanwhile we have had nearly 50 starts in PL games for players 18 and under. With over 4,000 minutes between them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has had 8 players out for 4 or 5 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“A lot of poorer managers than Ange”… like who exactly? Genuinely asking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well considering he came fifth last season after losing the clubs talisman there are loads. But the obvious ones:
Dowie
Wilder
McCarthy
Allardyce
Dyche
Parker
Warnock
Brown
Adams
De Boer
Flores
Meulensteen
Reed
Bradley
Marsch
Jones
Martin
Lampard
Gerrard
There are tonnes of others but you get the jist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn’t agree with Dyche and Allardyce. Dyche did a great job at Everton and Burnley, sure it was ugly, but it was mostly effective.
Allardyce was brilliant at Bolton who sank without trace without him. He also finished 8th with Everton.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough. For me, I wouldn’t want either of them near Tottenham. Dyche is that bad even Everton decided to get rid. Allardyce only done a job at Bolton through convincing a lot washed up top players to join on exorbitant wages. He didn’t do anything of note after Bolton. Also could be argued the state he left Bolton, they have never recovered
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They were nothing before Allardyce and reverted to type afterwards
Dyche is dull as faaaack and the fans were bored - he was effective though and tactically much more clued up than Ange
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The point at which he left Bolton they racked up near 30m in debts.

Someone on another site just reminded me that Ange’s excuse last season was that we didn’t play many games and therefore found it difficult to get a rhythm - now he is moaning about too many games.
So which is it?
He is officially now our second worst manager of the last 40 years

Disasters aside Bournemouth have done well. Iraola I have always rated. But it’s a good thing he isn’t have to play 18 & 19 year old players week in week out. I don’t think they’d be doing just as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His main CB is 19 and playing his first season in the Prem - next
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which one would that be?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dean Huijsen - scored against us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was his first start. He has played 13 games since then.
Meanwhile we have had nearly 50 starts in PL games for players 18 and under. With over 4,000 minutes between them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has had 8 players out for 4 or 5 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch - undoubtedly
I think Iraola will come in the summer
I think Frank would come in the summer.
Back to you though, which club do you think would give Ange a second chance?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like I said it’s a hypothetical.

The man is clueless. Bournemouth have 10 injuries - yet Iraola has them still in the FA cup and fighting for top 6, this is after we poached their top scorer in the summer.
Ange out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t know Bournemouth has had more than 10 players out for over 2 months and that their same players are playing every 3/4 days.
Do you know who else didn’t play as many first team players today? Liverpool, I wonder how they got on against a team who has won one game three months in the championship, just think if they had to play that same line up for the next two months!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have 8 players out since 18th of January. Not mid-November as has been the case for Tottenham.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And they are Bournemouth and we bought their top striker in the summer. Iraola hasn’t mentioned injuries as an excuse once
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disasters aside Bournemouth have done well. Iraola I have always rated. But it’s a good thing he isn’t have to play 18 & 19 year old players week in week out. I don’t think they’d be doing just as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His main CB is 19 and playing his first season in the Prem - next
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which one would that be?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dean Huijsen - scored against us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was his first start. He has played 13 games since then.
Meanwhile we have had nearly 50 starts in PL games for players 18 and under. With over 4,000 minutes between them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has had 8 players out for 4 or 5 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“A lot of poorer managers than Ange”… like who exactly? Genuinely asking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well considering he came fifth last season after losing the clubs talisman there are loads. But the obvious ones:
Dowie
Wilder
McCarthy
Allardyce
Dyche
Parker
Warnock
Brown
Adams
De Boer
Flores
Meulensteen
Reed
Bradley
Marsch
Jones
Martin
Lampard
Gerrard
There are tonnes of others but you get the jist.

I wouldn’t agree with Dyche and Allardyce. Dyche did a great job at Everton and Burnley, sure it was ugly, but it was mostly effective.
Allardyce was brilliant at Bolton who sank without trace without him. He also finished 8th with Everton.

Maddison - i actually don’t think Ange likes him.
The man is clueless. Bournemouth have 10 injuries - yet Iraola has them still in the FA cup and fighting for top 6, this is after we poached their top scorer in the summer.
Ange out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t know Bournemouth has had more than 10 players out for over 2 months and that their same players are playing every 3/4 days.
Do you know who else didn’t play as many first team players today? Liverpool, I wonder how they got on against a team who has won one game three months in the championship, just think if they had to play that same line up for the next two months!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have 8 players out since 18th of January. Not mid-November as has been the case for Tottenham.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And they are Bournemouth and we bought their top striker in the summer. Iraola hasn’t mentioned injuries as an excuse once
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disasters aside Bournemouth have done well. Iraola I have always rated. But it’s a good thing he isn’t have to play 18 & 19 year old players week in week out. I don’t think they’d be doing just as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His main CB is 19 and playing his first season in the Prem - next
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which one would that be?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dean Huijsen - scored against us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was his first start. He has played 13 games since then.
Meanwhile we have had nearly 50 starts in PL games for players 18 and under. With over 4,000 minutes between them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has had 8 players out for 4 or 5 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“A lot of poorer managers than Ange”… like who exactly? Genuinely asking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well considering he came fifth last season after losing the clubs talisman there are loads. But the obvious ones:
Dowie
Wilder
McCarthy
Allardyce
Dyche
Parker
Warnock
Brown
Adams
De Boer
Flores
Meulensteen
Reed
Bradley
Marsch
Jones
Martin
Lampard

The point at which he left Bolton they racked up near 30m in debts.
