So if Levy had sold a quality successful goal scorer who had played an integral part in the season, for massive profit, and brought in 2 players on loan, fans would be happy with that?

Asensio has started 12 games out of 20 for PSG in the league and 4 in 8 in the UCL. An un-used sub 10 times in 28 games. 2 goals.
Classic OP being dazzled by big names when the reality is even Richarlison, who has managed just 545 minutes this season, has more goals than Asensio.
Brennan Johnson has more goals that Asensio and Rashford put together.
What Villa have done is cash in on a player because financially they are on the margins. A lot of the rumours from credible sources were that they were willing to sell Watkins, but Saudi came in for Duran so they kept Watkins.
Duran had 14 goals in 1043 minutes this season. That's more than a goal every 90 minutes. Let's see how many Rashford & Asensio get because I would wager these two are passed their used by dates, and will not get close to replacing the lost goals.

So if Levy had sold a quality successful goal scorer who had played an integral part in the season, for massive profit, and brought in 2 players on loan, fans would be happy with that?
The fact PSG and Utd are willing to loan these supposedly top quality players out says it all.
Asensio has started 12 games out of 20 for PSG in the league and 4 in 8 in the UCL. An un-used sub 10 times in 28 games. 2 goals.
Classic OP being dazzled by big names when the reality is even Richarlison, who has managed just 545 minutes this season, has more goals than Asensio.
Brennan Johnson has more goals that Asensio and Rashford put together.
What Villa have done is cash in on a player because financially they are on the margins. A lot of the rumours from credible sources were that they were willing to sell Watkins, but Saudi came in for Duran so they kept Watkins.
Duran had 14 goals in 1043 minutes this season. That's more than a goal every 90 minutes. Let's see how many Rashford & Asensio get because I would wager these two are passed their used by dates, and will not get close to replacing the lost goals.

Any one who has seen Lankshear play this season will see that he is far from ready for this level.
Even Mikey Moore looks out of his depth and he's well ahead of Lankshear.
