At best it's amateur and incompetence, at worst it's corruption.
In another season it could be the difference between winning a title or avoiding relegation. They really need to get this sorted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’d like to think it was just incompetence, but how do you incompetently “see” that a ball was definitely out (the only criterion for overturning the onfield officials’ call) when at no point was the ball completely over the line? Said yesterday that at best VAR had just guessed it was probably out. Anybody doing even that should never be on VAR duty again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed.

I thought it was probably out and the officials need conclusive proof of that but having seen the new footage it was probably IN! TBF they didn't have access to it but all the more reason the goal should have stood. LAwwell will be feeling collars right now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree
There is a still which for me is over the line.
The issue is that either VAR seen footage that the TV didn't show or they guessed. Had it been ruled out in the game they wouldn't have said it was clear enough to overturn and award it so why do it the other way?

Didn't Rangers get a player sent off? Sure I heard that but seemingly not?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
VAR overturned it
---------------------------------------------------------------------- How odd - that NEVER happens at any other stadium in Scotland. Pathetic & obvious "help" from the staunch offishuls. Just like the last minute pen in the Queens Park cup smirkfest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a booking and never a sending off. VAR called it right and I can see why the ref gave it in the first instance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yip
Similar to Taylor's booking for us and similar to the Hearts one at the end of their game
Can we also get over this corruption nonsense?
If there was corruption it is hardly going to be done at 13 points clear with 11 games left
Ball looked out, but wasn't conclusive, so by the rules, on field decision should have stood
Can someone clear up my understanding here too.....goal line technology, refs watch goes if the ball crosses the line/doesn't cross the line
Does it just apply to actually in the goal.....coz the ball is crossing the goal line here?

Aye, it’s just between the posts as far as I know, Stevie.
BTW, this has been some game between Newcastle and Forest. 4-3 FT.
Watched a good bit of it, Newcastle were cruising and then hanging on
Really hope Liverpool proper skelp City today

We got rid of goal line technology in Scotland because we apparently couldn't afford it alongside VAR
