Stuck in deepest south Wales on a job.

I might have to scrounge some supper at Chez Vidal on my way back, (assuming I get away tonight).

Good job I'm not going to Boro tomorrow!

It is a bit depressing now. I'm keeping a look out for a signing or two to galvanise the squad but who can we possibly get in that's going to help?

Remembering when Man City signed Ali Bernabia in Divison 1 (Championship) under Keegan or Bolton signed Youri Djorkaeff to pull off the great escape in the PL ( at our expense if I remember correctly) That is really the type of signing we need right now. A magician in midfield to break open the opposition and somehow land the ball on the Viking's head. I suggested Hendrick as a short term option for the DM role alongside Adams, however listening to RD it would appear that Hendrick has burned some bridges with Derby with his tweets. A couple of players have been suggested for the DM role as a free agent but no-one that stands out

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/three-david-ozoh-replacements-as-derby-countys-free-agent-plans-revealed/

A question of can we afford anyone given our budget restrictions? Also is Ozoh returning to his parent club and the loan terminating so that we don't have to continue paying the % of his salary that we agreed?

And finally given our precarious injury record in 2025, our threadbare squad, is there any chance the EFL can approve us fielding two GKs? Given our injuries in defence I think we may well need to keepers tomorrow.

Well it’s going to require Steve McQueen on a motorbike to get out of this.

But it’s not over …

I'm undecided between a "chins up", "worse things happen at sea" sort of approach, or a bit of serious reflection as to our predicament, and respect to those of you that invest rather more in the club than me.

Will let you know when I come to a conclusion.

I'm at work until 9 Scouse and then on - call from home overnight so I'll be struggling to provide food. Which way will you be coming through?

I'm not going to Boro either because of work this weekend. Have to admit to not being devastated to be missing out on the glorious petrochemical wonderland on Teesside.

Middlesbrough expert on RD reflecting weaknesses in their defence. Middlesbrough had been on a poor run that could have ended Carrick's rein as manager had it not been for the win against Stoke City. Not optimistic about a clean sheet.

Team with a weak defence going against the team with a weak attack. This game has got something written all over it...just not entirely sure what.

Are, there you are View. I thought you'd packed up 606 and become a Grimsby fan or something..anyway on to tomorrow's game v Boro. Form suggests Derby losing 1 0....or if we're lucky 0 0. Too many players missing I'm afraid...but i live in hope of a miracle....on another note, I'm reading an enthralling book...its called "101 Uses For Superglue"...in fact, I cant seem to put it down. Cheers. Terry. UTR. 🐏🐏🐏🐏

Away tickets for 'Boro on sale at the turnstile today!

A sign of waning support maybe, or is it that no one fancies going to Smoggyland?

Its the first Saturday away game I've missed where I've not had something else on.

Hard to justify spending your hard earned on something which just leaves you more miserable. Being miserable in Middlesbrough must be close to suicidal.

When Chris Riggott was in our squad ( first time around ) was the first time I made the trip up to Middlesbrough and vowed never again.

Not surprised this isn't a sell out. Awful city, weird vibe and they've been a bogey team for us for a long time with that hold breaking during the McClaren era. We last won an away league game there seven years ago. And our win prior to 2017 was in 2000. Omens don't look too good today but "We’re still fighting *to avoid relegation,* we've got to go to Middlesbrough and get something, and… and… I’ll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them, love it!”
