1991 was also the season when Arsenal had 2 points deducted and Man Utd 1 point for a brawl after Brian Mclair had kicked Nigel Winterburn.
The points deduction shows how the officials favoured Liverpool even then

Chelsea only lost one game in 05/06 whilst setting a goals against record of 15 (which might still be a record)

The only game we lost was away to Man City 1-0 to a disputed penalty
Ironically scored by a player we bought - Anelka

Arsenal drew a shed load of games in their unbeaten season as well

It’s amusing how the greatest team of that era was apparently Liverpool. Because the Arsenal ‘91 side got more points to win the league than any Liverpool side of that era did. Also lost less games.

I remember seeing an interview with Alan Hansen, who felt the the 90's were the beginning of the end for the great Liverpool teams. Even though they won it in 1990, players like Rush and Hansen were past their best.

Liverpool bought the title for decades in the 70s and 80s. Then Klopp couldn’t win anything until he splashed big money on VVD, Alisson and Fabinho. Even now you’ve still spent a fortune on that team, with £100 million Nunez sat on the bench most weeks.

You used to support Chelsea I’m sure of it. Why the Liverpool love in suddenly? What do Liverpool have to do with Rangers?

I support United and Barca but I have said for the rest of this season I’ll be following Arsenal too, because they are a proper club and United aren’t gonna win anything as it’s a dead season for us.

We didn’t buy it at all. Our academy players got us through that period by being brilliant and even winning us a treble. Others were signed, but for reasonable fees.
