Should have been a draw. Clearest penalty shout I've seen denied this season in any game. Premier League ref? He should stick to Sunday League.

Must of watched a different game to me if you thought we was outplayed.

Game was decided by two moments.

The 100% pen not given

Piroe missed sitter.

Poor result

Ref not outplayed. You lot should watch Sheff Utd and Burnley games.

But Portsmouth were excellent and did a lot right and gave themselves every chance of nicking it.

But 9/10 we win that game comfortably.

Awful result.

Tanaka & Piroe had shockers.

These things happen.

Despite a side giving us a proper game we still created far more and conceded less than the other two are regularly.

Obviously the result makes us less likely to go up than a win but I’m still extremely confident.

I look forward to the melt down and the hindsight that we should have signed a striker because Piroe is a poor finisher all of a sudden take

Awful result. One of those where if we go 1 nil up, you’d say it was good away performance but because we lost it feels awful. We actually made some good chances.

I’m sick of this club collapsing end of seasons. They’ve got to hold their nerve now - 10 game shoot out. We’ve got better fixtures on paper. Got to take their chances.

we were poor, out battled and out fought but should still have won comfortably and on another day would have so all down to very poor finishing, cant believe piroe missed 2 close range sitters plus the pen and other chances and i suppose their keeper needs a bit of credit but we really should have won easily

We weren’t outplayed, but we were outfought.

Missed key chance, few stinking decisions and the game went the other way.

Fact is though we looked flat and leggy, with brief flashes of quality rather than control.

Bored of saying it, but the lack of squad rotation is laughable.

Poor result but blatant penalty and three good chances missed keep doing that we will be fine,

did anyone else notice ref went to make a tv var signal but stopped and realised it was up to him, ref was gutless and failed miserably for pen and for the assault on mes, very least was a yellow and just shows var has scared prem refs into not making vital decisions when someone else can make them for them

Dallas and Taylor reckon he was about to put his whistle in his mouth but then didn't? Saw the replay and he does lift his hand to his mouth.

just realised he was signalling that there was no var, doesnt hide the fact he was 10 yards away and looking straight at it

its sad now that refs rely on var to make the decisions for them. i bet collina would have given var the red card. dont make refs like him anymore, read the game so well and could spot a mistake from intent a mile away and such a pity the current generation from the top down are so poor when you consider some of them are making a fortune not to mention all the perks lol, odd backhander never hurt anyone did it

I thought we were outplayed (especially in the second half)… for the first time this season. We definitely created the better chances but they weren’t with the run of play. Blatant penalty and if Joel had brought his shooting boots it’s very different. But no hiding we were poor today. Never got a grip on midfield. Sloppy in possession. Out fought.

Missed Ampadu massively in that midfield. Simply can't start Tanaka again for such a game away from home. I'm hoping he was carrying a knock but for me he wasn't up for the battle & ended up hiding. Can't afford that.

We just look better with Ampadu in midfield, especially away.

Next two aways look like ones we’d need him for as well

I’d go as far as saying you replay that game with the same chances for both teams and the penalty decision we win it 99/100.

Club is jinxed. Gypsy curse.

Amazed no comments about the goal conceded on here. Meslier was having a great game but that’s another terrible error coming for his poor decision making

It was poor decision making, particularly as he looked to be coming out and then stopped. Just a numbness at present. Need to put it to bed and beat Millwall.

Best mate is a Pompey fan so I've followed/know a bit about them and there season. Mate said that Leeds had technically good players but didn't have the aggression to cope with Pompey. Felt they dominated periods of the game and deserved the win albeit no VAR saved them. Reckons they outplayed Sheff Utd away from home last time out away and didnt look like relegation battlers. Reckons we're going up comfortably 👍

It's just par for the course now. I expect it.

Not much point mentioning it on here any more. Too many in denial over the bloke.

With a better keeper we'd have one hand on the trophy.

I still say we win the league. Defeats taste even more sour when they're rare.

We'll bounce back on Wednesday but i certainly wish we had Ampadu available in that midfield next Saturday.
