Monster Energy Drink is based on the Devil / 666

Maybe that's the way we go?

On slightly related note, I assume ££££££££s could be raised by selling pieces of the old stadium to fans. There are ~76k seats. The club could offer 76,854 one foot by one foot squares of turf. Do their homework and each one could be linked to a famous pass, shot, save, tackle or dribble from the club's history. Then there would be enough fragments of brick and iron girders to supply demand for cheaper souvenirs for decades to come (you can still buy chunks of the Berlin wall, or pieces of concrete that are marked as such).

Kash would be at the front of the queue to buy something!

Hadn't thought about the rival fan market.

Might be strategic to remove some of these items from sale on certain match days. Not sure I'd want to be selling affordable chunks of metal / masonry before a European tie against e.g. Rangers.

Tbf It would be pretty cool to get my own Seat as a piece of memorabilia. I have sat in the same place now for over 20 years after we moved from the Family Stand.

On the other hand learned fans would realise the pitch is re-laid every summer and if things continue know that there would likely have been fack all to celebrate over the previous season.

The M&S Prawn Sandwich hospitality lounge
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Going off on a tangent, but it's curious how food-based class stereotypes linger on well after they have any real-life applicability. Middle-class corporate hospitality types haven't eaten prawn sandwiches for a couple of decades. The internet still sometimes uses 'Latte drinking' to characterise liberal lefty types as culturally remote cosmopolitans, when Costa basically became Wetherspoons about 15 years ago. I'm sure working class Londoners stopped eating jellied eels about a century before the discourse caught up. Et cetera.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hawl, it was your captain that started it!

* other sandwiches are available

STFU, Silver. There will be molecules in the soil that young turf is growing in that were present during the treble season, City's last relegation and the birth of Christ.

Arsenal fans could have that section where Wenger stood on for one example.

Not a lot really. I don't think it's a huge money spinner. If they sold all of the seats for say £20 each it will come to about 1.5m which is nothing really in grand scheme of things. Imagine the time it would take to unscrew 74,000 seats as well.

They could still do it though or something along those lines and make a charitable contribution to the United foundation / UNICEF.

They should do an online raffle for a £1 each. We'd easily raise a billion surely!

Stick the seats on a swivel chair base so they are functional. Sell with a certificate and an AI generated image of the view you'd have from that seat of some iconic moment in the stadium's history. You'd sell those seats at £150+. It won't pay for the new stadium, but it'll make more of a mark than closing the canteen.

If it was actually built and then named Snapdragon New Trafford, I'm pretty sure that I would never ever visit the place, just because of that name.

New Trafford doesn't even mean make sense anyway. The area is called Old Trafford.

The guy who wrote that article has plucked that name form his rear end.

well I hope not as the concept of the three towers on Norman Fosters showreal of his new stadium plan is based on the 3 prongs of the devils fork from the badge

It probably won't even be Snapdragon either guys. We are 6 years away minimum. A lot can happen between now and then.

I'm fairly certain it will have a sponsor though. 60-70m a year would essentially pay off the stadium for us over time leaving club money for transfers etc.

I will pay whatever it takes to get the piece of turf from where Fellaini started his majestic solo dribble vs Bayern and the piece of touchline where it ended.

I’d have them at either end of my house as wall art.

the only time I have been on the pitch at OT was during a last game of the season pitch invasion when I was a kid after the final whistle of the game vs Blackpool in 1975 when we won the Championship. I managed to rip up about 1 square foot of the turf and took it home and my mam patched it into the back lawn. But I think our back lawn was in a better condition than the OT turf in them days.

What's with all this New Trafford nonsense? The area the stadium is in is called Old Trafford, so New Trafford makes no sense.
