Not really though because he played on Thursday so the turnaround would have been too quick.
If we did play him if would have been a risk and considering we have nothing to play for in the prem it is not worth it.

The question is will Mason do better between now and the end of the season?
The long term manager we want won’t move now - my guess is that is Iraola - which would be amazing.
No way Levy is forking out for a stop gap like Rafa or Terzic.
So it’s Mason or maybe Ledley - do Spurs want to go down that path?
I think we will stick until summer and then make the change unless we fluke the Europa, at which point we start next season with this shiete
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't see how anyone would think we could be worse with Mason. Of course he is far from ideal and if we had any sense of wanting to salvage the season we'd go for a decent interim.
Redknapp actually said last week that he would take the job. The only realistic reason you wouldn't go with Redknapp is cause he's been out of the game so long, otherwise it makes a lot of sense - Is a former Spurs manager who did well with us, has experience of coming to struggling teams and making a difference including ourselves, is at an age and place in his life where being interim until the summer would suit him, is a proven good manager who has won a cup before. Seems like it makes too much sense for the idiots who run the club though.
What I'm trying to get my head around is the reasoning behind keeping Ange on.
Most fans I've heard now are in agreement that they wouldn't even want to keep him should he win the Europa and I seriously hope the club would feel the same. If they do, it begs the question why he's even being kept on to try and win it. Maybe he could win it, they sack him and Levy would still get to feel exonerated in some way that he chose a manager that won us a trophy? Or maybe he's being kept on because of the idea sacking him before a cup exit leads to more compensation being paid out?
Surely everyone can see now that this guy has no more chance than winning the Europa with Spurs than your average punter off the street. At least with Mason there'd be less chance of more players getting injured.

Ange is clearly going all out for the Europa, he made 7 changes from the Europa match to the Fulham match so that tells you everything.
Why mess up his preparations by getting someone new in? It would feel like the Mourinho sacking just before a cup final if we did that.

Because he isn't very good and keeps losing matches. I don't even want him to win it. I want Spurs to win it but not him. He shouldn't be in a position to win it as there have been far better and more deserving previous managers worthy of getting such a golden chance.

But has he deserved this amount of time comparative to previous managers like Nuno, AVB, Mourinho given how rubbish the form has been? They would all have been sacked before this point producing this same form.
Whether he deserves it or not, it’s plain as day that nothing will happen until we’re out of Europe at the earliest and more likely the summer.
I can’t get worked up by it, it’s not up to me.
I think if we did fluke the Europa, Ange would keep his job but would probably be sacked about 5 games into next season after we had lost 3 of them.
He is shiete

I think Levy is lining up Ange's replacement before he's sacked which to be fair is a shrewd move. Hopefully it will be like when Ramos was sacked and Arry took charge the next day.
I'd actually take Redknapp as our new boss, if only for the deadline day car window interviews and his patter.

It annoys me when people criticise the people who write articles on here because they're the lifeblood of this site. I've written decent articles and had them shat on. Makes me think, why did I waste my time?

It’s not that serious for me. Just a space to chat about Spurs. If someone doesn’t like an article, fair enough, they move on and comment on another one. However you always get comments from people like Dick&Fanny dynamic who adds little to the site, just thinks he’s a smart ass but never actually adds value. Hey ho

Ange is clearly going all out for the Europa, he made 7 changes from the Europa match to the Fulham match so that tells you everything.
Why mess up his preparations by getting someone new in? It would feel like the Mourinho sacking just before a cup final if we did that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he isn't very good and keeps losing matches. I don't even want him to win it. I want Spurs to win it but not him. He shouldn't be in a position to win it as there have been far better and more deserving previous managers worthy of getting such a golden chance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he wins it he would have deserved to win it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But has he deserved this amount of time comparative to previous managers like Nuno, AVB, Mourinho given how rubbish the form has been?

Hey ho
