We are spending a million pounds on the pitch in the summer apparently.
Might be a million quid too late!
Our home form has been pretty good though over the season.
I would have gone for Fozzie personally but on reflection, I’ve gone for the Hyperactive Toddler not on Ritalin
First Cuckoo heard in Uig, 19.55, 21st April. Five days ahead of schedule.
Have heard none here. In a few hours I fly to Venice where I expect there will be no cuckoos. From there to Hull next Saturday. Will I be able to tell the difference?

Hull is widely regarded as the Venice of the north-east so probably not.

Ull was European City of Culture in 2017. I always assumed that this was evidence that the people who decide these things have a sense of humour.

Uk city of culture, Vidal, not European.
Preceeded by Londonderry. Succeeded by Coventry and Bradford. In all 4 cases, it beggars belief why they were chosen.

Despite its most notorious resident, it was Liverpool that was designated the European Capital of Culture in 2008
For technical reasons I was only able to watch the first half and about 8 mins of the second via Paramount Plus and thereafter via Jorvik, NML's superb goal.
The commentary was dire, the pitch in a half-light and camera placings average so it was really hard to get an impression of individual performances (bar Vickers' brilliant save which was probably crucial even at 2-0.) But in general terms the defending and organisation were excellent, the midfield much more balanced and competitive with Thommo in there and Yates and Harness battling admirably. Three precious points with the only blight being wins for Hull, Luton and Plymouth.
WBA are going to have a big say in the final bottom placings so we must hope for a change of manager bounce as I thought they were bang average today - slow and lethargic and lacking any drive or ideas. They have to improve considerably.
