To be fair, she’s got a valid point,
Male pundits do block the path of female pundits. But there is a good reason the male pundits are chosen ahead of them. I mean, they should be in the kitchen for a start, know nothing about football, and invariably are blocking the paths of young male pundits.
Would happily support Wrighty to leave women football alone, as long as we get keep all the female "experts" and commentators from men's football.

The comments on Ian Wright were ridiculous, we have female pundits on the men’s game and male pundits on the women’s game - there is room for everyone.
Emma Hayes and Karen Carney keep getting work because they are bloody good, Eni Aluko is not at that level, she is a step down and therefore gets less work. Maybe she should acknowledge that and work on it rather than lashing out at arguably the biggest male advocate of the women’s game.

Rules might be same but the standard is in a different stratosphere. You could take any PL academy under 16's boys and they'd wipe the floor with Barcelona, Lyon or Chelsea ladies first teams. It would probably be 7 or 8 goal margin easily.
I have no issue with having no men doing the punditry for the women's game either. Let them have it.
Right, okay, so what qualifies you two to talk about pundits?
And what do you know of the standards? Couple of tubbies who play a bit of five a side ffs

That did cross my mind.
Here’s what Aluko actually said. Outrageous!
"I’ve worked with Ian a long time and, you know, I think he’s a brilliant broadcaster, but I think he’s aware of just how much he’s doing in the women’s game. I think he should be aware of that.”
"The fact of the matter is, there is a limited amount of spaces available. If we had a situation where there was an equal opportunity in the men’s game for broadcasters and coaches that there is in the women’s game, it’s a free for all. But that’s not the case. I can’t dominate the men’s game in the way that, you know, you used Ian as an example."
I’m going to start a list of all the pundits and commentators that get grief on here to see if there is a connection.
Aluko
Rio
Micah
Anymore? Not sure if there is a connection yet.

Michael Owen probably attracted more online abuse than any pundit I can remember. In fairness he was awful.
Micah Richards? His 'banter' is getting a bit tired but seems generally well liked.

Quite a few things to unpack here.
Joey Barton shouldn't be allowed to get away with what he said about her.
Aluko is a pretty average pundit.
She should absolutely not have called out Ian Wright (unless it was out of context somehow)
There are some female pundits that are better than some of the men.
You don't have to have 'played the game at a high level' to be good pundit. If this was the case why was Jose Mourinho allowed to MANAGE at the highest level. I'd rather listen to him on about football than Rio Ferdinand for example.
Even if getting a female pundit is box ticking does anyone really care? If this box ticking gets women interested and they then start playing then that is surely a good thing!
Diafol knows.
I find it quite funny that people get so worked up about pundits in general though, and it’s ALWAYS middle aged men that do.
It’s prime time television aimed at a wide audience (including children, and god forbid, women).
It’s like getting upset that This Morning isn’t very edgy.
There’s plenty of deeper analysis out there if people want.
Ah, just seen the full bit about Wright. Yes, doesn't look half as bad.
I will be honest. I don't rate her that highly as a pundit but that's nothing to do with her gender.
On S4C we have female pundits doing the men's national team games and they're usually spot on. Moreso than the former men's internationals that are on there.
