There are actually people who dislike Micah because of his laugh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t understand why people don’t like Micah. Seeing somebody not take themself too seriously is a rare thing tbh. Think he’s great.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Me too, just a nice guy just enjoying life and who doesn’t take himself too seriously.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh his laugh is a little annoying but he still comes across as a good likeable guy.
All good comments. I think what folk have to remember is that, just like a football team, you don't fill your pundit panel with people that all play the same way. Some there for personality, insight, controversy, local knowledge and yes, probably diversity.
The only thing that riles me - and some have thrown in names like Phil Neville as an example - if you are not good at it you should not get asked back. In my jobs I got paid for performance and it was relative to others' performance. Now, with punditry it is way more subjective than the material, results based objective way I could be assessed, but nevertheless. Aluko should look at herself first instead of bleating.
Can someone tell Aluko that Wright being involved in womens coverage adds legitimacy and weight to those broadcasts and is him doing the womens game a favour not him looking for clout and more money
The person who says that will get tarred and feathered but will go down as a hero to me

Indeed. The only thing Aluko has over Wright is being female. There are plenty of opportunities and other female pundits and if Aluko isn't getting many gigs perhaps she should aspire to reach Wright's level rather thinking she is entitled to step over him because he's a man.
Some of the facking headlines:
'Wright accused of 'blocking' female pundits from working in the women's game by Eni Aluko'
More culture war-stoking, clickbait bullshiiiiit. Categorically not what she said.

Blarms has a point here to be fair to wrighty
She's a horrendous pundit, and only been given a job in the media because she is female and black. She was selected as a box ticking exercise and for tokenistic reasons, which is happening in most walks of life also.
Maybe one day we can get back to giving people jobs based on their ability to do the job and nothing else, but that is unlikely with the way this country has gone down the pan.

Here's the direct quote:
"....I think we need to be conscious and we need to make sure that women are not being blocked from having a pathway into broadcasting in the women's game."
This was in the context of saying ""I've worked with Ian a long time and, you know, I think he's a brilliant broadcaster, but I think he's aware of just how much he's doing in the women's game. I think he should be aware of that,"
It is not inaccurate to summarise her overall view and reasoning in the way the BBC have with their headline
"Male pundits risk blocking opportunities for women"
Why don't you debate the merits of the argument instead of instantly going to "culture war" claims of a keyboard warrior?
