It's much too soon to draw any conclusions from this RB game but for what it's worth I'm going to try anyway:
Based purely on the squad as it now stands I would say that given better luck with injuries etc it will not be in danger of relegation next season. We will have a sound, well-coached defence and a battling midfield perhaps lacking subtlety but with forwards capable of getting goals on the break or from set pieces.
However I doubt we can be any better than mid-table and maybe after all our tribulations, that should be good enough. But with some additions at FB, on the wings and in midfield then I think we could challenge for a top eight finish.
Cox out.
Derby County defender Daniel Cox has joined Walsall on loan.
Academy midfielder Demiane Agustien has left Derby County and joined Premier League side Arsenal.
According to the latest updates Wrexham have leapfrogged Derby and become favourites to sign Windass. Personal terms agreed and the signing will be announced tomorrow.
Shame given his impact at this level but there's better out there in his position.
This Wrexham bandwagon is starting to get annoying …

Yes a poxy little club with some second rate luvvies in charge.
Derby County are rivalling Ipswich and West Brom for the loan signing of Liverpool talent James McConnell, according to reports.
How much notice can we take of "sources say", "rumour has it", "there are reports" etc? We have been "interested" in so many that I'm losing count. Not denigrating this thread however as it's all interesting even if in the end most of it ends up wide of the mark.
There is a super video on Rams TV of the goalies being coached in Austria. Riveting stuff. I could not find a link but it's easy to find on the club website.
I just post ‘em Chicago. Keeping track at the top.
Always interested Fin even if they're nought but rumours.

This just in.....
What Desi? Beck from Liverpool?
Well now.
Adams could be leaving.
I love Ebou, but if we replace him with the right sort of player I would genuinely see this as a positive move for us. To progress we need players in midfield who are better on the ball.
I may be alone in this opinion.
However Dom Dietrich has popped up to say he thinks there is nothing in it.
As you were then.
I stand by my opinion though I would not dispute he is the player most responsible for our promotion the season before last and our survival last season.
I think Ebou is not that bad on the ball and will improve under JE.
I hope so. He is nearing 30 though so unlikely to improve technically. I don’t think he is suited to playing in a midfield two, at least not if the intention is to play a passing game. He was invaluable in the attritional style that was necessary to survive but if we are aiming higher surely we need better passers. Looking forward to tonight’s game and seeing how we go about it.
John Percy on X(FKAT)
#dcfc are close to signing Liverpool left-back Owen Beck on loan for the season. Deal agreed and Wales u21 international expected to undergo medical later this week. Beck was signed by John Eustace at Blackburn last year and was v keen to play under him again #lfc
Dominic D:
As per John’s post below (above here 😄), understand the interest has been long standing and been working towards the deal for a number of weeks. Moving in the right direction #DCFC
Vidal, who was rumoured to be interested in Boo? Can’t see anything on t’interwebs.
I don't think any names were mentioned. Like to see him stay for another season, we will be needing a more technically gifted midfielder for Eustace's style of football ( Gorgeous George II please) so if we can sell him for more than we paid and with the perfect send off... winning the FA Cup or League Cup, Adams lifting the trophy, that would be ideal.
Was said to be a number of Champ clubs including one just relegated from the Premier.
If media is to be believed ( sorry Chicago) Beck should be a Derby player today. Interesting piece of business if Rangers were tabling a bid but he's opted to join us on loan. He was very much a fan favourite and likes to get stuck in. Offensively not as strong but I'm happy with the mix of one offensive LB in Elder and one defensive minded in Beck.
We've a good record when it comes to loaning Liverpool players and as we're linked with a second one (McConnell ) here's hoping our loan success continues. Hope we get a third Liverpool based player back on loan too ( Harrison Armstrong )
Based on recent reports Derby have bid the asking price of £3 mil for Callum Brittain, Middlesbrough also made an offer that was below the asking price.
It's a question of whether or not Blackburn are willing to do a deal with a club that's already taken their manager, coaches and two ( possibly three ) players on a free transfer?
There was one of those AI predicts the Championship articles today. They had Blackburn 4th so there should not be a problem selling to lowly Derby County (20th).
Interestingly they had Norwich bottom 😄
