Big concern for me right now is our general lack of cutting edge. Arias should be productive but players like that certainly have quiet spells. Lopez is just gonna take time. RAN is a massive loss honestly, and even Senedo, though poor in the final third he was very capable of getting us up the pitch.
I can see Munetsi featuring far more in a forward spot than he should be and we are gonna be very dull to watch.

I have booked two tickets to Euston, on the way back, the earlier one I will get and miss the last few minutes if we are getting stuffed , the later one if we are still in it, it’s a late kick off and a long way back home

Had a listen to "dazzling" Dave's interview with Jonny Phillips and Tom Collomosse earlier, got the impression that both journos are not quite getting the access they once had to the decision makers at molineux now that Teti is in place. JP keen to temper the impression that was given during his WM interview a few weeks back that Shi and Co have learned lessons from previous windows. The subtle change to the message seems to be that the intention is to dispense with the policy of using windows to bring in players that will most likely never play for Wolves but could generate profit after some development. Instead the club will concentrate mainly on bringing in players for the first team squad. Certainly seems that the strategy hasn't and won't alter in terms of how we make offers and negotiate. Fact is we're probably the least attractive proposition for players in the league right now with promoted team chucking the cash around and 9 clubs offering European football.

We are in a tricky spot in terms of the type of players we want v the type of players we can attract. We want players that can make us better and players that are ambitious. But players that fit those specifications don’t want to be joining a team that has been and might again be in a relegation battle. I actually think we’ve done well so far. I can see Arias, Lopez and Wolfe all becoming good Premier League players and I think Lopez will be our next multi million pound player in 2027. And I do think he’ll make an impact this season.
Trouble is we need to find at least another three players of that standard. We still have money to spend, PSR isn’t a problem, the difficulty is persuading the right kind of players to join us.

I think we were/are trying to shop in the middle tier initially and trying to sneak some surprisingly good players in, something we have continually managed to do over the last few years.....Cunha, Joao, Andre, RAN, Nunes..........all players bigger clubs were keen on at the time. But I think an accumulation of crappy seasons and a clear sign now that the club is nothing more than a stepping stone is looking less attractive year on year.

Said back at the beginning of the close season that predictions for next season are meaningless until the end of the transfer window. Nothing that has happened since has changed that opinion.

There’s a part of me that thinks we should be ok: central defence and central midfield is the same as Vitor used last season, and we can add Mosquera to that, so we should be reasonably solid and improve on the woeful goals conceded in the first half under GON.
But then I look at the creativity and goal threat. Yes JSL scored quite a few when Cunha was suspended, but wasn’t that all against the relegated teams? Can he repeat his goal haul this year? Where do the rest of the goals come from? Joao and Andre don’t score many, Bellegarde might be useful but who knows about the newbies?
I fear we could be quite dull to watch and rely on 1-0 score lines to pick up the points.
And I suspect we are only one long term injury away from a disaster.
We need a couple more, first team ready players in. Preferably someone who can chip in more than a few goals. There is still time, but it’s running out and I expect a few panic buys in the winter now to get us out of the relegation zone (again!)

Still very confident we will see at least 2 more players come in, quite possibly 3. Seems fairly clear a RWB is high on the agenda.
A loan to buy is quite likely as well and they are usually higher end players to us.

With the squad as it stands 19th isn’t out of the question.
