I agree he’s the worst manager we’ve had but I wonder how many times in those 11 games we played close to our strongest line up.

I’m guessing not much although I doubt we’d been much better off with tactically inept Ange

I see you and I raise you a Ruben Amorim

Even since the injury crises eased, Spurs have not been playing their best team in the Prem. So the amount of losses is irrelevant. I doubt Spurs have played anywhere near their best XI in the Prem thus season in more a handful of games.

I doubt it was the very strongest line up in most games but more than enough players were available to do better. I mean we had those 3 wins on the bounce before the majority of injured players started coming back for this really awful run we're on.

I actually think we'd be on a poor run even without the Europa run and Ange playing a full strength team. Same thing happened last season without Europe looming over us.

United have been awful too but Amorim can be excused to some extent because he joined mid-season when things were already in a poor state of affairs and hasn't spent anything. Ange has spent £400m to get us to 17th place. It might be the most inefficient performance from a football manager ever.

Amount of losses irrelevant?

It's what gets him the sack regardless of Europa result.

I don't want to hear any more excuses about injured players or not playing better players. I already showed you a quote from Ange to say we'd improve with players back. You were one of the ones who shouted from the hills how we're only suffering poor form due to injuries. Ange has basically mugged you off with this form and made fans like me who said the injuries wouldn't make much difference, correct.

The Europa run shows what a brilliant manager Ange has been. Knew the Prem was done in November, so completely dissed it off. Preferred to concentrate on the 14 game Europa to get to the final, where he has handled the team absolutely perfectly.

I don't understand this "best 11" crap. Some players are dropped depending on the form of others (like Porro or Udogie being dropped for a then in-form Spence, which many of you supported) and other than probably Kulusevski, any one of your midfielders can be dropped game to game with rotation - seeing as none of them is Zidane or Xavi. You keep giving these reetarded excuses like Spurs are the 1st team in Europe to juggle a European campaign (with the best draw to the finals a team could get) with domestic competition. What has stopped you playing "best XI" since January? A couple of matches against AZ, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bodo/Glimt is the reason you're playing like a relegation team?

No it shows what a fortunate manager he is. Many things have gone for him to be in this position.

For one Levy decided for the first time in his life he's not going to sack a manager who is in danger of missing out on top 4. AVB, Poch, Nuno, Jose were all removed cause form was dodgy and top 4 looked like slipping away. Top 4 slipped away since December this season but Ange has been kept on.

Secondly, the bottom 3 have been so atrocious this year that they've made it so we don't need to focus on getting relegated, we can concentrate solely on Europa.

Thirdly, the Europa is pretty damn weak. We could win the competition and we will still have beaten 4 stronger teams to reach the CL final than just winning this one. Shows the difference in levels.

A better manager would be able to navigate better results in the league and still progress in the EL. If he doesn't win it then it will show what an utter failure he is and binned off the league for nothing, although I would argue he's just crap and couldn't get much of a tune out of these league games anyway.

It's not weak at all you idiot? You wouldn't be saying that if Ange wasn't the manager.

Take it you won't be watching the final if you think the competition is craaap.

I agree he’s the worst manager we’ve had but I wonder how many times in those 11 games we played close to our strongest line up.

I’m guessing not much although I doubt we’d been much better off with tactically inept Ange
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt it was the very strongest line up in most games but more than enough players were available to do better. I mean we had those 3 wins on the bounce before the majority of injured players started coming back for this really awful run we're on.

I actually think we'd be on a poor run even without the Europa run and Ange playing a full strength team. Same thing happened last season without Europe looming over us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Europa run shows what a brilliant manager Ange has been. Knew the Prem was done in November, so completely dissed it off. Preferred to concentrate on the 14 game Europa to get to the final, where he has handled the team absolutely perfectly.

Ange.

How stupid are going to feel when you're beaten in the Ropey league final?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How stupid are you going to feel when Spurs win a trophy and end up having a better season than Woolwich bottlers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This makes no sense. I'm not the imbecile with the new novel theory that one of the most expensively assembled squads in Europe should be content with relegation form if they could win a couple of Europa matches against Bodo/Glimt and co. Since you're the one with this new dumb theory, it begs the question of how stupid you'd feel if you don't actually win the trophy for which you believe your entire domestic campaign should be sacrificed. If you lose the trophy and end the season on 38 points, 17th in the table, how stupid would you feel?

Spurs don't buy £100 million players to win SFA.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No. They only spend £378m under Postecoglou to finish 17th.
