He's a fantastic player and speaks well during interviews but when the going gets tough on the actual pitch, he's a whiny cant, not exactly great captain/leadership material in my opinion.
Brighton didn’t want to sell him this year by what the credible Journalists said. Don’t think they care whether Bruno was here or not.

Think it was more the fee, wanting caicedo money given what we've spent it wouod be seriously risky with psr, the Bruno fee would have basically wiped his fee out, but we move on hoping for some good energy from the team today, 1st home game, big rival, no excuses to lazy about the pitch

If the full ‘cultural reset’ was as needed as people make it out to be, and the weeding out of the bad habits and players etc, ushering in the new players and new ways of working then if he’s the player everyone looks up to and the link between staff and players then yeah I can see why. Club captain isn’t just a 90 minute job.

Did anyone genuinely think Sesko would start though. It was obvious he wasn't going to start. He's probably not even played with the team yet for any decent amount of time. Likely just get 10-15 mins towards the end I reckon...
I'm going to see how we go first today without moaning about the line up. Hopefully, we'll be surprised by how effective it is!

Fair enough. To me a captain should conduct themselves as a leader at all times though. If you fall apart during the most important part (e.g. playing football), what's the point?
He's a bit of a sulky brat when we're proper up against it which is the opposite of what you want from a captain.

Think it’ll be Cunha up the middle with Mount left and Mbeumo right.
Just disappointed the first big game he’s already shat his pants and removed our attacking RWB Amad for Dalot.
If he doesn’t trust Amad there we should’ve been in the market for a right wing back. Dalot is barely better than him defensively, but so much less of a threat going forwards. Arsenal wingers gonna have a field day with nothing to do defensively and Mbeumo constantly doubled up on.

Asking for 4 goals from subs is a lot.
I wonder if we could see the wide CBs supplementing the midfield and Casemiro dropping back at times to make it a back four with De Ligt, Dalot and Dorgu.

Bruno should have gone this year especially with the 2 tens we got, we basically would have had baleba playing today in his place if he had left maybe even Wharton to alongside

Selling Bruno would have been the wrong decision this Summer IMO. Don't think you can sell your best player when you're trying to convince players to come in.
