Process, yeah, I think we're definitely in the territory where the club thinks about the timing of when to move on from Bruno. I can see why they may have come down on the side of it being too risky to cash in this summer, but if we're still committed to this system in 2026 that's maybe the time to act (with hopefully a big chunk of the budget going on midfielders).

At last, someone has noticed. To be honest he's not a name I'd have in front of the queue but it seems he could be available and he could be a good fit. Looking further forward of Betis do buy half of Antony's rights (as I've read today) that could be useful if he plays well for them again this season and Atleti wish to buy him next Summer.
On Bruno I'm hoping the club has a plan in place for the possibility of him going next Summer for a good price. This Summer was probably too early to sell our most productive player IMO. If it's a long term project then we can't do everything at once.

To be honest I'd prefer football go back to having luxury (lazy) No10's, two wingers going up and down all game, and midfielders who can run, pass, tackle, and score.
That doesn't seem possible at present though so I would like to see us address an issue with the team.
I've only mentioned Gallagher as he could be available, runs all day, has decent quality on the ball, and wouldn't take time to settle in the PL. I'd prefer a better player, of course, but they may not be available right now.
What I absolutely do not enjoy is seeing a fourth tier side for long periods of a match against us work their socks off and win nearly every battle whilst also looking pretty close to us in quality.

He's not that bad! He's ok if he keeps it simple.
A workmanlike midfield would do for now if it meant getting the best out of Bruno, Cunha, Mbeumo, Sesko etc IMO.
He really is, and he wouldn’t play with those players as he’s not a dm. If he were to play in any position for United it would be the one Bruno is currently playing in.
