I appreciate that Sasa may not yet be up to starting a game. However, I do think that an extended period of him and Strand Larsen together will provide something different for opposition defences to think about.
With the two of them on the field together defences will probably change their formations to an extent. The best scenario would see Sasa attracting defenders allowing Larsen more space.
It does appear that Sasa will be staying so he needs to build up his match minutes.
Might be a bit one dimensional if we were to set up with effectively two number 9s regularly but it worked on Tuesday for a brief period and could be effective in small doses.
Dependent on them both being in the squad come Monday night too which is a doubt.
Personally I don't think it would work from the start of a game. The reason it was effective in the week was because West Ham had something to defend and made defensive changes. They dropped deeper and allowed us to get balls into the box and players around them.
Both JSL and Sasa lack pace. If we played them both from the start, the opposition can just play a high line and easily nullify our ability to get forward. We'd also lose our ability to press.
I definitely think Sasa can play a role from the bench this season. He is a handful for opposition defences when we press for a goal. I think you can only play one of him or JSL from the start though and there is only going to be one winner when choosing between them.

Have to say I hadn't noticed he was not starting any games this season at all, six so far. That is a bit odd.
That said, he was top scorer last season in the league

Pretty much expected. Only surprise if you wanna call it that is that Hugo gets the start. Happy with that though, doesn't appear Wolfe is any kind of upgrade, though it is early days.
We are gonna be a tough watch this season which is a shame.
